I was driving down the motorway last Monday when a stupid Espace pulled out in front of me... as if this wasn't bad enough, just as he got in front of me ran over something metal and flicked it straight into my new shiney new car. I seemed to be fairly big.... bigger than a coke can and when it hit he bonnet and windscreen I was sure that it had chipped/crasked the screen. Anyway, when I got to work i checked the screen and it all appears to be OK, but there are a couple of scratches on the bonnet.

The scratches are about 1.5 inches long and 1-2mm wide and are clearly noticable. Anyway, as the owners manul says, scratches should be touched up ASAP to prevent rush frm getting in. Any idea how much a touch up would cost (No Flapper, not THAT kind of touch up!)?
Would a touch up show up under streetlights?

Next time Bill has his car at your garage let me know and I'll slip ya a few quid to swap the bonnets.... he'll never know!!! ;)

Cheers,
Ben

I think he might :D :D LOL :)
I have collected my first stone chip on my bonnet I noticed this morning when washing/polishing it.

I have resorted to polishing it with Autoglym as the Diamondbrite coating is'nt repelling a thing! Little black spots keep collecting and don't wash off. So much for non-stick, not have to polish your car coating! :(
The rejuvinator stuff, does'nt add a shine either, as I tried that before going back to the old faithfull autoglym.

You can tell the diamondbrite was'nt working as well as when first applied, as the water was'nt beading, but clung to the panels like a big damp patch.

Now with autoglym, it shines, beads, and feels smooth like a new motor should. Sorry to say this product has'nt worked as well as it was claimed.

regards
Bill

touch up s (ooo er) anywhere between £3-£10 deends on the colour

as for is showing i'm afraid to say paint is not one of my forte's

it probably will inless it is put on and polished back , needs a trained eye/hand if you ask me .

if it is that bad , we have a guy in regulary who does scratches and stuff repairs , if it helps ?

Bill, yes I agree that the DiamondBrite stuff isn't that good... I have loads of black spots on the car that I can't wash off! It does appear to repel the rain though.

Flapper, thanks for the info, I might book it in next time I'm in the area (January for Bills Rolling rOads session maybe)

Thanks,
Ben
