View Full Version : Forge DV007p *Fitted*
Got it in (yeah baby) last night (with a little help from bensaud [wHhheeeyyy!]). First impressions are much improved throttle response when changing gear so.... well recommended.

Sorry about this but Im having a bit of a moment with my computer, and have made myself look more stupid than normal.
Just ignore my ramblings:D
I mainly got it done as i'm gonna chip the beast soon and wanted the better reliability. That said i also did it on the recommendation of others, who said it'd improve thru gear acceleration (it feels like the turbo stays with you changing up). Pics? Well sorry to say but on the '03 model the engine cover hides it :( It looks pretty much the same as the plastic part made by bosch (follow the hose from the induction system, where it enters the cover is where it is). It's not hard to do - there's three clips holding the other one in place (bottom, side and top) to the hoses which need to be removed (i.e. thrown away) and replaced with jubilee clips (i just tool the DV to halfords and matched the sizes). I might put a pic up if i remember to do it tonight!

At least now I know where to look when I think of doing mine!!!:D
Probably silly question but is the difference between that and the std one actually very noticable?.
Or is it more psychological?
Yeah, is there a lot of diff between the diaphram (sp?) and the piston one. I see they are both the same price on the website!!
Nice pics :D . Tempting, very tempting...
I, and others, think there is a difference - it just feels punchier through the gears. The old unit looks about the same - except it's black plastic.
