I know this sound like a daft question.

However what are peoples opinion on what this should involve ?

e.g.

Enlarging of ports
Knife edgeing the channels
Smooth out the casting

Anything else?

Cheers

Reducing the inner radius on the inlet port to valve area. Adding extra angles to valve seats. Reshaping of combustion chamber. Mirror polishing exhaust ports.

Also testing port work on a flow bench to ensure CFM is matched across cylinders. (If company performs alot of port work then they don't always test).

As to whether any of these general topics are related to 20vt heads, I couldn't say for sure.

I dont think a lot of people actually flow them they just port it and even to eye.

Possibly, tho I wouldn't be interested in a head that flowed incorrectly. How would you know if removing an area of metal doesn't actually slow down the air?

bigger diameter= more capacity but less velocity

smaller diameter= more velocity less capacity

simple stuff

based on your years of experience porting and airflow bench testing eh hooch?

thats just a basic concept of airflow...not specific to bench flowing!!
