I am intending to buy a tuning box for my ibiza, can anyone tell me which is the best to buy. Someone on the accessories forum is selling a powerlink box??? never heard of these before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the guys chip there cars instead of tuning boxes.

I've heard a lot of comments about tuning boxes and very few of them positive. If there is a tuner out there that does software for the 90bhp beezer you would be better off talking to them.

It's not exactly what he drives, but Andy (beezerDiesel) might know something...

There's still alot of companies doing the 90hp chips, so it shouldn't be a problem.

alot of people have been choosing upsolute. You also check fred's tdi page, it also has good information on 90 hp tdi upgrades (since north america only has access to this version.

Better late than never I suppose, just seen this thread.
98 Beezer TDI? Had one myself briefly a few years ago, to which I strapped on a Torqmaster Tuning Box - made it very quick indeed but hard to keep a steady speed as it kept surging, don't know if these are still available.
Currently run an Original Tuning Box with bigger injectors.
Basically a tuning box gives you extra fuelling and their main benefit is similar power to a chip but easy(ish) to remove if vehicle is under warranty. Some are adjustable for power/smoke some aren't: as you said best ring around as all the tuners have their own ways of achieving the same thing.
Tuning Boxes can often be picked up (and sold on again) second hand, which is useful if on a budget but make sure you have the right connector yours has 8 pins, mine has 10 pins which is a shame as mine might go up for sale soon!
Best power seems to be from VanAaken @130bhp from a box+injectors, but if your warranty is history already an Upsolute chip is good value @£300 ish.
