intake manifold for 1.8 20v non turbo

as i was looking at my engine
i took off the cover

i discovered my intake manifold is plastic! and it goes right over the engine ( which gets very hot) and that the manifold is really long

but i can only find info on turbo manifolds

any advice

what u trying 2 do doney ? get more power or cool the intake

the manifold runners will be that length for a reason though....

good point mork most na vag lumps have a long inlet but im sure its just a german thing ! (long inlet = higher torque)

i think the only alternative would be throtle bodies but u may aswell just get a 20v t

i want to get more power and not screw up my mpg too much
originally i had tought of an engine change/ turbo
but that much power on irish roads would kill me
so i was hoping to bring it up to about 150 and make it more responsive.

good luck mate...thats pretty optimistic from the n/a lump...TBH i would be very surprised if you can do anything of any value to it.
