Wow.....
most surprising for me as I have an AUQ engine is the extra 19 bhp Getgaff has got just from having a supersprint ss cat back exhaust...
coulf you give me some info Getgaff..price/location/problems fitting etc.:)
Bearing in mind the Cupra R is heavier you will have equivalent power to weight to a Cupra R....:D
Impressive number, but must agree with Mark, 19 extra hp from a SS exhaust is what most impressed me.

That is assuming that that engine only made 180bhp without the exhaust.
Shame there weren't any stock "AUQ" Leons there - I'm pretty sure that in the past figures of around 190bhp have been seen stock with this engine.
Still an impressive figure though!
Hey Mark; 306 point seven rounds up to 307 lb/ft... :p
Seriously, good job M8, I'll peruse at leisure...
for that matter 299.9 does as well

Indeed...
I hope nobody minds that I've linked to it from Scoobynet (thread about tuning VAG 1.8T).
doesn't bother me but then its not my site.

Mark, I don't have that fitted!!! In fact I haven't purchased it yet. 199bhp on a bog-standard motor, hubba hubba :D

I think we have a better relationship with Scoobynet than certain other sites ahem

Mine is guaranteed 100% genuine bog standard, sorry for any confusion. When MarkP first offered the chance to join the RR session, I indicated the exhaust was an 'anticipated mod'. Unfortunately funds haven't allowed me to purchase a new zorst system yet :( .
The only 'mod' is Optimax used from day one and the occassional burst of red-lining during the running period between 500-1000 miles.

Wow. I was always told the VAG engines produced more hp than rated, but never thought it could be +10%.

Still very impressive as on average most cars lose less than 30hp by the time it reaches the wheels.:)
