I noticed the authorised Revo agent in Greece is Seat Force-Technocar. is there a connection?
btw has anyone managed to read the whole post and can provide an abbreviated brief description? ;) :)
I read it. In short it says:
"Revo Rocks. Get it. STOP"

My house is in order thank you
We have a good network of dealers worldwide , who we advise on recommended retail prices.
AVC have been represented Forge in Greece for more than 5 years,
However I will forward him you details so he can respond
i guess there is no point in more flaming. wonder what AVC webber will reply though, "sorry we have been ripping you off for the past 5 years by selling with 50% profit margin, but this is the greek reality you suckers"?? hahaha
forge has quality products but the end user price arriving in Greece is just too much, especially when the list price information is widely available through the net.
will forge distributor also offer Revo products? :D

Still can΄t find it; is it posted yet?
I have been asked to reinstate the original Revo Greece post after it was lost, but I am not going to. I have been very unhappy with the way the RS4 gearbox situation was handled and the unwarranted knee jerk criticism that followed it. Maybe you don't understand how difficult it is to bring Engine Tuning to the OEM level in order to give customers the benefit of a properly tuned car with OEM Warranty. If Stage 1 conversions resulted in gearbox failures, all German tuners would be bankrupt by now.
I say unwarranted because no one waited to find out what exactly what the problem was before posting. What I am most unhappy about is the difference between the response to the gearbox failure of the first REVO CUPRA R on the Dyno (which was reasonable) and the RS4 mess. I don't know if this was a backlash to my post or the setting up of a dedicated REVO Forum, but I can tell you that my post will not be appearing again (Nor do I authorize anyone else to do it, moderators please note) and I will never post anything like that again.
I have posted the power graphs of the REVO LEON 4 Bar FPR and next week I will post the graphs for the REVO CUPRA R in comparison to the REVO GOLF R and that will be my last post here. The REVO GOLF R was tested in the April issue of POWER TEQNIQUES magazine in Greece. The car goes from 50 to 70mph in 1.99, 2.39, 3.61, and 5.48sec in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th gear respectively. It is currently the most powerful Stock Turbo 1.8T in Greece.
With the risk of attracting several flame happy individuals, I would like to comment on this anyway.
First of all I would like to say how much I enjoyed reading the post from tamiya as it is a very good technical post from someone who actually knows what he is talking about and not from the "if I put on a bigger airfilter, will my exhaust drop off?" crowd.
No offence, but if you are seriously into tuning then I assume you have done some proper reading about it to gain as much knowledge about as possible before blurting out any wild statements.
If you still lack that knowledge, then it is of course ok to ask questions to learn more but to start pointing fingers when you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about then it's better to keep
quiet or at least come with some well founded technical arguments.
Second, I hope tamiya will reconsider posting here as I personally believe it would be a loss to this forum if people stop posting because of the small minded attitude of a couple of individuals.
Cheers,
GJ.

The REVO GOLF R is a modified Golf 1.4 with an AUDI TT 225 engine (K04 turbo) transplant, single muffler 70mm exhaust, metallic race cat, Underdrive Pulley Sets and Aluminum Flyweel by Unorthodox Racing, Sachs/Racing clutch and REVO program with overboost been measured at 1.7 bar, giving 328ps@5041rp, and 49.3kgm/4560rpm. It has brembo brakes, bbs 17" alloys amongst other things as well.
Beez, with regards to your post "all forge products at exorbitantly high prices"
Can we take that kind of comment out of the forums. Email Forge direct if you have a major issue with pricing.
I have not got a problem with you saying they are expensive, you just said it a bit over agressively. I hope you understand.

shaggy i think i mentioned numbers rather than general accusations

mmmm 50% above list price, you got a better name? I dont see AVC webber or forge coming to their defence,or explaining why Greeks are paying the 50% premium....
myself,i am against censorship, i think people can make their own minds.....

Uk retail so £ 80.50 +vat..... £ 94.58 , to the Euro at £ 137 , with todays exchange rate + shipping , and to have in stock means its not a bad deal
Dealers, Tuners and other companies. They are there to be adored and scorned, admired and admonished, revered and questioned constantly. But, there is a fine line between scorning/admonishing/questioning and defaming/wrongly accusing/slandering.
It's not always easy to know where that fine line lies, nor is it easy to always make a unanimously agreed judgement call on whether something falls under what I would constitute as allowable and what I would constitute as not.
It's easy to know what to do when something is - in my view - blatantly illegal or a mere flame-bait. We simply delete it.
It's easy to know what to do when something is - in our view - within the acceptable realm of speaking up. We simply let it exist here, regardless of whether we think it's ridiculous or ludicrous.
But, in a case of doubt, it goes down to your own level of tolerance. Personally, in such cases, I prefer to be lenient and allow these thoughts to be heard.
There is a price for that, though; those who elect to take upon themselves a crusade on a particularly controversial issue should bear in mind that they themselves are bound to be scorned back for their views.
You cannot stand in the city square and tell everyone they are blind fools (and telling all Joe Bloggs fans that he's the worst dealer ever, or telling Fred Smith fans that he's nothing but a cheater, is exactly that - either way, you are telling those fans that they are blind fools) and expect it to go unnoticed. If you get a tomato in your face, you should also ask yourself if you didn't ask for it.
Having said that, it should be made clear that counterattacking a poster is different to personally insulting someone. Telling someone that his post is ridiculous, or even that he's a liar (if you can found that!) is not the same as telling someone "you are an idiot who should be shot to death". I will tolerate to a large extent the first; I won't tolerate to any extent the second.
My last post on the matter. I'm not here to spoil your fun at all, or anyone elses. The post was not deleted or edited. Just wanted to make you aware.

The thread re the g'box was a bush in the linkage.... simple and not tuning related.. Kinda got blown out of all proportion and derailed off the original post, as that heading was somewhat misleading..

LOL
Well it would be nice to see while i await news of a scottish dealer, it's the same as the graphs from revo - IMINENT ;)
It's maybe a good thing waiting for a dealer anyway, seems like APR USA are going to do the serial port uploading aswell soon, and are already at the reputable Star Performance.
Time will tell, i have other bits and bobs to get sorted first.
Anyway whats the script with this gearbox failure then, what were you told caused it ? (my memory fails me if you have already said)
Are you getting the free Revo upgrade soon ?

Tamiya (in this thread) refers to an RS4 not Leon-R
Got a link to what/where you said? (PM me if you like)
