sub choice....

thought i would float this question in yet another forum:redface: just in case....

car audio security suggested these two setups:

under £300,
sub: alpine type r 10"
amp: alpine MRP M650

over £300
sub: diamond d310
amp: dls ca12

the diamond goes down to 28hz, the alpine goes down to 20hz. but the diamond is more expensive so i assume gets what you pay for....any opinions ? :)

If sq's your thing go for the diamond - you really DO get what you pay for...

thank you for the advice :) if i use the dls CA12 which can put 500w into 1 ohm, i've decided the choice of either the diamond sub above, or the alpine type r dual 2 ohm voice coil (so the amp can see that as 1ohm)

the diamond setup will cost about £340, the alpine setup will be about £315, any ideas if the diamond is def suggested to go for? i dont mind spending the extra £25 as long as i might notice the difference....!!
