Is it possible to enhance the performance of the intercooler for the tdi engine.
If seem more than a few threads around regarding the forge uprated intercoolers for the 1.8t, so what about the tdi's? Can we also get a forged uprated intercooler?

The PD TDI150 IC will definitely be difficult to improve as it already is 87% efficient.
Though a PD TDI130 engine, with a smaller and less efficient stock(70%) IC can certanly be benefited.

Didn't know that they where different.? Starting to wonder if changes to the intake will make any big difference? Probably not! I guess I'll just get the panel filter and forget it.

Yes, the TDI130/150 ICīs are very different in size, shape and..efficiency.
On the intake side, I wouldnīt change a thing on a TDI150 as the stock airbox/filter are not restrictive at all. Itīs good enough to handle the Golf R32 3.2l 240bhp engine demands..
The Ibiza TDI130 on the other hand suffers a bit from a smaller airbox than itīs VAG TDI130/150 brothers due to the lack of engine-bay space and should benefit from an improved intake. Weīre doing some testing on the rolling road to check this out soon enough.
