Ok a freind has an alhambra and he recently experianced a problem.
on returning home from work a light (i think its the glow plug light) started to flash and the car went in to limp home mode. he called the RAC who said that he will tow him home... no further info about fault.
so i said id come and have a look. so the next day after work, i popped round had a look and everything worked fine, it revved right up, so we took it down the local dual carageway and round the block, everything apears fine no power loss or anything, so we go for another lap of the block, when boom the light starts flashing and back in to limp home mode. I had noticed that this occoured when the water temp had just got up to nominal of 90.
he said he has been having problems with the water bubbling over recently, and he has to top it up quite a lot.
so any ideas of the fault?
its a diesle turbo btw.
only thing i did notice is the ECU is right next to the water resovour so when that bubbles over it could slash on to that, but if the ecu was at fault it would error all the time not just after warming up.
any ideas on the issue hear would be great as we are at a loss at the mo.
