View Full Version : No Cover Note Still!
Just a quick question,How long roughly should it take for a full certificate of insurance to come through?i have paid my full deposit,my first monthly payment has come out of my bank,have sent proof of no claims etc.took out the insurance 28/7/2007.temp cover note ran out at the end of august and still no certificate.Have been on to the broker last week and they tell me they are waiting on confermation from the finance company (monthly payments)to come through!where does this leave me?what if i have to produce my documents at the police station etc,or worse still,have an accident!
any help would be appreciated .

you dont have to produce at the station any more, they just radio in, and they are told if you have insurance, but i would be worried without a certificate, if you are not covered, one of the cameras will spot you, and you will be in trouble...........
the car is taxed until november,its just the insurance certificate im waiting on.cheers for the reply!

I would recommend you give the company a call as they may of sent it to you already and it could of been lost in the post.

hi neil,the broker is actually yourselves(Greenlight) and the company is highway insurance.
I took the policy out with greenlight because of the competitive quote and the good things that have been said about you.i have done everything you have asked me to do proof of no claims etc.Just getting worried now.The last phone call i made(last week) i was told you were waiting on confirmation from the finance company who deal with the monthly payments,the first installment has come out of my account so i asume everything is in order.any ideas why the delay?
Would i be able to call the greenlight office and ask to speak to you as you seem quite helpful on this forum?

Once the first payment clears the documents would normally be sent straight out. PM me your name and full address and i'll check when they were sent out. If you have not received them i can always request a duplicate set from the insurer (takes 7-10 days to arrive) and send you out a continuation cover note in the mean time.

Cant PM until im a full member of the forum(need have 10 or more posts).
Spoke to someone at greenlight today(13/9/07) and they said my documets were being posted today so i should be reciving them very shortly.if they do not arrive by mid next week i shall be in touch.
