from a few google searches i am thinking that the 2 parts are damping (to stop bare metal from vibrating) and sound proofing (to stop noise getting into the cabin)

can people recommend what products to use for the sound proofing (damplifier, brax, sheets of sponge, etc) and where they put it?

i've read that side panels, boot, and wheel arches are places to start with.

having had a look behind the rear panels, seems a couple of chunks of sponge would fit in behind the rear speakers quite nicely.

which goes on to...can you get access to the front wheel arches?

i believ i have seen a post by fruityloops about a year ago where he literally made a shell of sound proofing of the cabin. v nice, don't quite need to go that far. altho it would be really nice...... :)

I would go with dynamat extreme everytime. Its expensive but its one of the bets on the market.

I owuld start with the front door skins, then look at the tailgate, boot floor pan, and side panels of the boot.

Then depending on how mad you want to go, the roof :D
