I have just had the linkage mechanism replaced for my 03 Alhambra (wipers go opposite ways). Garage that replaced it was a non-seat one and I don't think they have got it right!
Before I am sure the drivers side wiper almost rested at the bottom of the screen, now it is about 1 to 2' up from the bottom of the screen. In addition it doesn't go all the way to the pillar - 2 to 3' away (leaving a bad visibility area) from that. When I pointed it out they readjested where the wipers were placed but all this meant was it was closer but the resting position was even higher! And the drivers side wiper rested against the passengers wiper. Over time this would have damaged it.
Can anyone confirm that the way theirs work is:
Driver side Wiper rests almost on the bottom of the windscreem (cms)
When you start the wiper it moves to a non rest position about 4' away from bottom
Wiper then goes to almost the pillar - cms
Appretiate any thoughts on this as I need to go back to them with evidence, are their any adjustments they have missed in the linkage. Any photos people have (on wipers) would help but not essential.
