just want to bring a pattern that is emergin in the for sale section to peoples attention.
people use the for sale section for just that reason,selling stuff. stupid remarks and sarcy comments should be left for the chat room and shite-u-write section,not alone on this,read bills chip for sale and mike kitsons number plate for sale have also come in for some sarc/critism,if people wanna make an offer then do so,if not leave the thread alone,its got bugger all to do with you ho much someone is asking for "X" .
as i posted in my for sale ad, i can take a joke,but people hijacking a thread to take the piss isn't on in my book.especially from senior members of the forums and a moderator:p

Point taken but another way of looking at it is that every time someone makes a sarcy comment it puts the item for sale right back to the top of the thread and anyone selling something isnt going to mind that surely? If no-one made the sarcy comments and no-one immediately replied with an interest in buying then the thread would just disappear under all the others. :cheers:

Sorry Jase, i got this forum confused with the one where people have a sense of humour....
Just read bill's reply and he doesnt seem mortified by my reply. I doubt he lost much sleep about it last night. I cant see him opting for legal action or anything either...

To be honest, I think the humor is a good thing, at least the post gets replied to and keeps it at the top of the recent thread search?! Kinda imperative if you want people to see the thread and sell your motor init?!
