I will soon by replacing the tyres on my Leon Cupra.
I currently have the standard P6000.
Has anyone got any recommendations for other makes ? :)

I am tempted by Yoko A539, Dunlop SP9000, Goodyear Eagle F1.

Most people seem to favour the Goodyear's. Have a look here. (http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13504&highlight=tyres)

The goodyear F1 is the 1st choice amongst the guys on the forum. Now that I've got them, I'm also impressed with the uniroyal rainsport 1 (in the wet that is).

I had f1s put on a couple of months back - excellent tyres.

One of my mates has Contisports on his car (As does Mark Sheerin I think) and he is very impressed with these as well...

Most likely the contisport 2 as IMO the older contisport where bad.

I'm no tyre expert but I had these on my last car and whilst they had good grip they were such a soft compound they didnt last very long at all.

Mind you it didnt help that my tracking was slightly out for about 2 months! :D

I have had P6000's on my car since day one and am having what's left of them replaced on wednesday. My tyre of choice/preference is GOODYEAR F1 (Gs-D3).

I will let you know how good they are on wednesday.:D

Better scuff them for about 100 miles, or your gonna go straight through the 1st bend.

Advice well taken Cheers... its a good 25 miles to work and a similar mileage back home so I will 'tread' carefully for the first day (well i'll try):D

Due to a puncture I had a new tyre fitted on one side only...

until it was scrubbed in the esp and traction control were working overtime cutting in all the time..

I actually went back to the garage and accused them of damaging a wheel sensor:redface:

30 miles later problem gone never to return..

I actually think its a hoot when you put all new tyres on and the wheels spin everywhere till they're scrubbed...great fun exiting roundabouts:D

I just got 2 new Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's on the front also, from what I've driven on them (which wasn't very long!) they were excellent in the wet and dry.

As peeps have already said it drives like a different car now (from what I can remember!)

The tires need to be driven for a while cus they're injected with a liquid for easy removal from mold just prior to tire being fully cured.

Haven't tried the D3s but had the D2s.

edit: change the i to a y in tire/tyres;)
