Hi there,

I would like to install a turbo pressure meter on my Leon diesel, but haven't got a clue how to do this. I know that the basic principle is to just tap into a pressurized line and hook up the meter, but maybe somebody has some experience with this and knows what the easiest way to do this is.
Any help is most welcome.

I'll check. In the golf it was quite simple, but I haven't looked at the possibillity for the toledo.

Hey prc, have you been able to check in the mean time?
How difficult was it to install in the Golf?
Was it a mechanical or electronic boost gauge?
thx for the help

Haven't checked cus the car is at the dealer. Will pick it up today and check tonight. The golf one was mechanical, so I had to plump in the vaccum tube, no big problem though.

OK, can't hardly wait.
I know that there is an electronic boost sensor in the engine, but I guess this will be a bit more difficult to set up and also be more expensive probably.
Oh, do u still have pictures from the install that u did in the Golf?
BTW did you have car chipped?

Make sure you get one with a high enough range (3bar max for example)

PD's run a lot moreb oost than petrol 1.8T's.

I've got pictures of the interior gauges/panel somewhere? Will have to look as this was back in 96-97! Waiting to REVO to get everything together. Richard said on or about 1st of March. Can't wait!

Bill is right, I had forgotten that you need gauge with a high range.

Where are you going to install the gauge. A-pillar mount I presume?

OK,
Doesn't look easy:( There are a couple of tubes up top by the fire wall but you can't use them.
The only possible way I see at this moment to add the pressure tube is to tap in to the hard plastic tube located just to the right of the oil filter (sorry the digital camera is on loan so no pics).

Hmm doesn't sound too easy then. I'll see if I can post some pics of the engine bay myself tomorrow. Maybe you can point the tube out then.

cheers
