Hi,

I'm after some mudflaps for my 01 Ibiza Cupra and was wondering if there are some available that go straight on and if so, how much are they and want are the part numbers?

I.E. did they go straight on, or was any trimming or modding required?

If they are standard SEAT mudflaps, do you have the part numbers for front and rears as I'm hoping to get some on Tuesday.

Cheers,

Chris.

Chris,
The SEAT ones fit straight on stock vehicles, and although there is no part listed for Cupra/R models there might be a problem fitting it around the side skirts. Is yours a Cupra/R model?
£22.98 - 6K0075111A - FRONT FLAPS
£24.98 - 6K0075101A - REAR FLAPS

Prices are incl. VAT but ex. fitting.

Hi Tim,

I've got a 2001 Ibiza Cupra 20VT, not the R or anything equally flash!

So fronts could be a problem with the skirts, but the rears should go straight on?

That's good news, as the rears are more important to me anyway, but would've preferred both. Oh well.

Can you confirm if what I've written is correct!? :dunno: as I'll get on to me dealer with those part numbers for the rears.

By the way, do that have any sorted of branding on them, or are they just black and blank?

Chris.

Chris,
Rears have a white 'S' logo on them, fronts are blank and black. You could try offering up the fronts to see if they would fit with the skirts on perhaps? If the dealer keeps them in stock and doesn't mind.
As for correct, they can and should confirm the part numbers I've written here.

Tim

Hi Tim,

Car was in the dealers at the start of the week to sort the dash squeek and look at the mudflaps.

Not a chance for the fronts to fit, but the backs were closer.

The holes in the mudflaps themselves don't line up with that of the car. To fit them, did you make additional holes in the mudflaps to align with that of the car or vice versa? :dunno:

Also, the car has been in twice to fix the squeek/rattle in the dash and it's still there  Any tips? :dunno:

Not sure as I can't remember the last time we fitted a set, but I would expect, as I said there's no Cup/R specific flap, they should go straight on, unless there is something not right about the rear bumper!

Sorry to be inconclusive but without investigation here, it could literally be anything, so the techs tell me, but try the brackets on the centre console.

Tim

The mudflaps fit the rear bumper perfectly, just the fitting holes don't line up at all! Hummm, decisions decisions!

No worries on the squeeky/rattling dash, just thought I'd try my luck. They said if it comes back, they'd need to car for the day to investigate :dunno:

I don't think so some how, as last time they had it, they drove it over the kerb!!!

How long does it take to get to Milton Keynes from Swindon, or is there another recommended dealer nearer here? :dunno:

One of the techs just mentioned the centre console brackets for the squeak. Swindon - MK about 1-1 1/2 hours depending on your driving style ;)

I wouldn't recommend any other dealer, simply because MK is the best:p

My sister lives in Milton Keynes, so could visit her whilst getting me wagon sorted!

I could also drop it off whilst at the Eminem concert too :p

The location of the squeek/tapping is in the dome above the dials towards the back where it joins the rest of the trim. It's so annoying! Grrr.
