does anybody have this dvd player?

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/192877/art/kenwood/kvt-627dvd-multimedia-dvd.html

it says on all the sites iv visited that it plays dvd+r, video format only..

does that mean i cant play an mp3 disc that is burnt to a dvd+r?

also if anybody can advise wether this is a good dvd player for the money i would be very grateful, thank you adam

Ive got the KVT-729DVD and im pretty impressed with it, although im no audio buff. I was originally looking at the KVT-627 but decide to go for the later model because of its ipod interface! I would defo recommend them. Sorry, cant help answer your first Q.

ok..thanks guys.

one last question, does a dvd head unit use more power from the battery than a normal CD player head unit?

YES you can load up a DVD full of MP3's and it WILL play. I had this unit earlier in the year and done exactly the same. It does take a long time to scroll through the whole disc to find the track you want though (Use sub folders / seperate folders for different albums etc. and it's not that bad).
