As some of you know I have a boost gauge so when "giving it some" in second my Ibiza peeks at around 8 PSI then drops off at around 6-7 PSI at 5000 r.p.m. Clearly visable on the boost gauge. Is this normal or do I have a leak??
If so, does it call for a Forge DV or the equivalant?
Gareth
PS I know the 1.8T engine is not the best at top revs but im loosing boost with still 2000 revs to go!
Your small low-pressure turbo cannot maintain the boost that high up. That's why your nhp and torque curves tail off at the top.

So does this mean I should be changing around 5K?
Depends what your plots look like but I suspect that beyond 5k rpm in that engine you are rapidly losing power, unlike mine where the power just keeps coming until you hit the rev limiter. Keep the engine spinning where the max boost is.

I reckon 8 psi peak for a std ibiza is pretty damn good anyway!

For stock Ibiza thats perfectly normal.
Boost is wound back at higher rpms..
