I asked the dealer to put on the Aluminium Vent covers for my new 130 Ibiza (just incase you didnt know)and he said that the workshop suggested that they were not that good, very flimsy and difficult to attach!!

Has anyone else tried them?

i am aslo getting the Ali gear surround.

Just trying to brighten up the interior abit.

The delaer fitted my yellow ones OK. They also had one with the chrome effect in the showroom and they make the interior far more classy. Get the ally lock pins as well - only another £7 (if you're even paying...)

Even though I'm a carbon fibre guy I do like the aluminum look in the beeza.

taking into account the weight of the plastic ones and the weight of the new alloy ones, I would guess your saving about 1g if your lucky so yeah 5-10Bhp easy.

It is for the gear lever surround. I think the speedometer etc. comes with the 'comfort pack' option available in Europe.

The surrounds are that kind of black chrome as standard, i am also getting the gear surround done.

Do Seat do the lock pins or are they just from Halfords?? As i asked the dealer and he wasn't sure.

yes i am looking for the speedo rings and the shiny bits around the gear lever. i checked out the site and they do not have anything for the gear lever surround while the silver rings for the speedo i think were intended for the model before the new ibiza (i think!).chhers

Seat do the bits for round the gear lever surround in chrome, Alu and various colours. Its about £11

That accesories list on the SEAT website keeps on growing.

The part number for the Aluminium gear lever surround is 6L0072400A
Its definitely a new option as I'm sure that the last time I looked the only options were primed and chrome.

I have to chrome surounds for the vents and the gear leaver. Howether they took the dealer an age to fit and one dropped out 3 days later. It is now attached with a bit of glue. The problem is that the chrome ones are not quite the same as the standard. They are missing one of the clips.
Howether they do look great.:jog:

I think the alu ones look better myself. Is polished al or the brushed type finish.

If its anything like the gear lever surround it'll be brushed. Looks very good.
