Becks Blue Leon Cupra - Finally a pic with white mirror caps

I bought my cupra in April 07 and have changed a few bits since i've had it. I previously owned two MK2 Golf Gtis so the leon was a big change to say the least.

Anyways here is the list of mods as it stands now

- LCR splitter
- Cupra badge on the front grille
- BMC Carbon induction kit
- HID headlights
- High performance side lights
- Pioneer Bluetooth Head Unit
- removal of CD changer
- Pillar mounted voltmeter and boost guage
- Half Leather, half alcantara retrimmed Evo 9 front seats
- Leather armrest
- 18" RS4s with wider rear tyres
- Lowered 60mm
- Altea rear wiper
- Sound system (sub, amps, uprated speakers)


I think thats it all so far, i've got more in mind, with handling improvements first, an uprated exhaust and a remap once the car is exactly how I like it.

HIDs didn't survive the crash either so back to standard for now til I can reorder them. Damn headlights have condensation in them at the minute, fingers crossed they dry out soon!

You need a tripod and a long exposure time on the night shots, the flash has brought up the wrong areas, the idea was there though :p

Car's looking great though, like the colour and the wheels really suit the Leon IMO.

Hey, yeah great location....love it - home sweet home :) Was extra special to get the photos of two blue cupra's together and thanks for the drive Becks....i think i will be dropping 60mm soon!!! Those alloys really suit the car, fantastic. I had a nice drive down to Forres for work on Sunday, left Laide at 6.30am with dry roads, no deer, sunshine all the way - perfection!! ;)

Rear bench is still the black cupra interior, i've got two dogs so there is no point spending a mint on trimming them til there is somethng else the dogs can be carted about it.

The evo seats had to have a VW subframe mounted on, they really were a bitch to fit especially as i needed them brought forward a bit as they were sitting quite far back on the runners. I'm 5'4 so the had to be modded further.

No, it came out the factory extreme blue. Its a rarer colour than most is all :D

A mechanic fitted them, took alot of work with the subframe though.

Rear seats still cupra seats, until ive a run about for the dogs they are staying that way

I'd imagine it is; just a matter of finding out which wires connect together - not a trial and error process though :cartman:

When you retro fit seats without airbags you can get things that plug in so the light doesn't come on....not sure what there called but I've seen them mentioned on here.

I thought this disabled ALL airbags? I simply scotched a resistor (I forget the value, its all over VWvortex though) further back down the wires so as not to butcher the plug. Less than 2 quid to do all in.

Loving the seats Becks, lush. I too found the standard LC/LCR seats somewhat lacking in support and found myself hanging on to the steering wheel rather than concentrating on driving the thing! Recaro speeds for me though with supplied subframes :D

I used to feel I was trying to hang onto the wheel and hold the car at the same time too. Counter productive! The difference a good seat makes is huge, and they are sooooo comfy :D

I take it you mean the pics on the first page? They were in fact taken on the A832 just past Aultbea overlooking Loch Ewe. Google that, thats PROPER Scotland.

I didn't like tha angel eyes. The quality of the light projected was poor even with them with HIDs. It is possible to modify them (see unclefesters thread) but its a bit hardcore. I felt they were just too bling for the leon and an obvious mod, and thats not something i'm into.

Just disabling airbags, nothing too rocket sciencey... but safer than poking resistors into a system & hoping the rest works in an accident.

Bad news Becks, I've spotted another one! Saw it near Bathgate an hour ago, had a woman driving. Both myself and Kilo Brown saw it at the same time, when we were stuck in traffic in seperate cars after randomly seeing eachother and were chatting on the phone when we saw it.

Had the car waxed with the banana wax i mentioned in a previous post. The one used on the Evo was clear, however mine has a blue dye through it which sticks to stone chips and scratches. Really helps with the stonechips and swirls.

Oh and the Evo is my Dads, so thats where I get it from :D

Well i'm picking up my HUGE intercooler and pipes on Saturday morning. However the pipes ahve been on a MK3 beeza for a short time so it will be fun trying to work out which pipes I still need for it.

Also trying to get a custom exhaust on from a forum member....
