I decided to check on my mpg today, and using the SeatCupra.net MPG calc I found that on my journey of 80+ miles back home today my lil Arosa Sport did 38.7mpg. Mostly motorway driving at undisclosed speeds ;o)

I'm pretty impressed, as I had previously roughly worked it out to be in the low 30's!

Plus I got a pay rise: Overall a good day :o)

Not bad, previously I had worked it out to be around 33 on my M5 journey - so was quite pleased with 38 :o)

all way to and from portrush yesterday (covered 250 miles in all) the comp was sitting at 42.3 mpg , average i hear you say...its a slightly modded 2.0 16v tho! billy bonus! i was doing around 50mph 95% of the time and still had petrol left at the end of the trip.. how happy was i!
(btw i know the onboard can be wrong by a little bit but it made nicve reading considering i can get it to read single figures too!!)

I averaged 55.3 MPG today in the Ibiza on my M5 commute. Not bad considering I was tormenting BMW drivers who tried it on, but just couldn't..! :D :p ;)

Is your ibiza standard. Also do u no if the police pratol the m5 buy stourbridge as i come back this way somtimes when there are prodlems on the m6. They seem to of recked a good road out the back of stourbridge aswell

The mods to date are just fancy ones (listed in my sig).
I've personally never encountered any police around J3/4/5 but south of that they do for sure.

You mean the bypass that was a perfectly good dual carraigway, and now in their wisdom they've made half of it single carraigeway with a set of lights soon to be turned on too? With the added bonus that traffic now backs up onto the M5 at J4..

"Lets spend 3Bn on building new roads, but feck up the decent ones we already have"

 Ian

I presume you mean when it's switched off! ;)

I'm not sure about spending much money on this car for a couple of reasons:
1) Yeah I like it, but I'm only gonna have it for a max of 18 months
2) I can't help dream of buying a project car when I've finished on my Escort :p
3) For what I do with the car (motorway driving) I think the performance is more than adequate

Sorry to sound boring, but if I want a scortcher of a car, I'd prefer to keep it a while and make it a real scorcher!

Where abouts do you live then? Where did you buy your Ibiza?

Yup I do work for Orange, and I have the same sms issues as you! "It's a feature.."

Ok, it's not, and I get annoyed with it's unreliability too.
