Just fitted some 20mm spacers on the rear. Took a few pics just to show the difference:

Some colour coding would go along way in improving the look of the car, all personal taste though

No comments!? :(
:ban:
cos its a 1.4 :D
mine dont get commented on much either
prefer it with white wheels, but i guess black goes with all the black plastic trim we have :D
I'll comment ;)
Its good to see you guys breaking away from the norm and taking pride in modding cars that don't necessarily have to be a Cupra all the time, which is what most people seem to think you own in the Mk3 section, even though most do
Good effort, i've seen the threads on this car, Mats (Mat @ SWS) car and Adam's car (Adam1.4Ibiza)
All look good
cheers big lad
even though i'm supposed to be saving cash, i might get coilys for mine (has springs on, and startin to feel the effect it's havin on standard shocks!)
need new alloys on mine, and again, might add spacers to rear! Might not do much to handling on these small powered cars, but aesthetically, it should look better :D
nice 1.4! i think the white wheels looked better but if you like the black thats great!
i like your weight saving mod in your first pics with the absence of the fog cover
i also wish my car looked that dent free.. i cant belive how many w@nkers are out there that wack your doors with theirs. :@
and Big Lad. thanks for the comment :) its nice to see that some one can remember our cars!

il comment too lol
Looked better with the white alloys imo and you should colour code the bump strips and front and back splitters.
Other than that very tidy mate

i have looked in to getting mine painted but its soooo expensive!
also Ibiza125, how come your sills are black and not red? you have not got cupra skirts on and it looks to be some sort of tape....

DIY it pretty cheap mate, probably about £40 all in
I think certain models came with the black seals so it depends which model it actually is. Ive not seen a mk3 with a sunroof before either
had to scroll up to check that myself! neither have i lol
then again, i got AC :D

Keep doing what you're doing ;)
Keep doing what you're doing
only problem is there is a limit to what i can do, performance mods is not worth doing, exterior mods if not done carefully look all the same as everyone elses cars or they look chavy....
its had to make a car truly yours, thats why i have done things like:
electric / heated mirrors and i was lucky enough to get my hands on a cupra R interior but i was apparently told that i was ripped off .
i paid £670 for my interior and thought that was alright due to its rarety but apparently thats far too much.... nvm i cant turn back time.

do what i'm doin then. get a private plate :D:cartman:

to me private plates are even more or a waste of money than mods to your car... at least with mods you can sell em on lol
lol
my private plate will stay with me for life tho ;) why would i sell it on???

Don't forget me! lol.
interesting look there mate, I think it looks v gd. Would look even better lowered more but I know u planned for 40mm in first place.
Keep up good work Josh :D
lol

what does your plate stand for ?
ahh we have not forgot you chris, you just need to do some more mods :P.. j/k
im tempted to put cupra R suspension on mine now, but im toying with lowering springs but dont want to fark the handling up. or i could always cut the springs to bring it down a bit.

yeh I know but gonna save money for when I get something with bit more power. Just keeping my car lookin fresh atm (site stickers, debadge chill sticker) etc.
what does your plate stand for ?
MDR is the initials, originally I wanted R84 MAT (Reynolds, 1984 Mat ;)) but that's a no from the DVLA. Can't get 84 or even "MAT", other than (M155 MAT - bollocks to that :D)
Anyway, I had a look what was avaliable with MDR on the end. I like the name Neo and always said, if I have a son, that would be his name! So there's your answer to N30 MDR ;)

Heard you shouldn't cut the springs!
Go for Cupra R suspension if you can, or aftermarket coilys! I have lowering springs on mine (fitted beginning of august) and I can feel the uncomfortable side of them! Think the dampers are on the way out!

yes missy :P lol
anywho, yes i have heard that just having lowering springs fark your shocks up as they are not designed to move below their optimum point.
is your car becoming bouncy now ?
a bit! in fact thinking of it, yeah. on some country roads i get thrown all around the car now! ****ing ridiculous! gettin to the point where I sometimes dread taking the car down some roads i used to love lol!
i would recommend getting cupra suspension mat, its lower standard. its stiffer to counter the heavier engine. since my old shocks died and had them replaced them with cupra ones they have made such a difference.

Might be able to get my hands on some Apex shocks which will lower it 40mm so that will be a plus! Also can transfer them (along with all my other mods) to my next car.
I don't know why mine has the black bit. Never payed attention to other peoples sills... Yeh no A/C for me!
Oh and the fog light cover was missing because I had an induction kit on and I had a cold air feed to there
As you can see it's back on and the filter is off! Got the cold air feed going to the standard airbox and it's just sitting behind the bottom grill, next to the radiator.
Cars looking nice
i think the black wheels look better imo

Thanks. Going to keep them for when I get my 1.6, in either silver, yellow or red again. Wanting silver though as I love the look of silver and black wheels! [B)]

nice pics mate wish we got snow down here on the sunny south coast :)
so does everyone not recommned lowering springs and does it make a difference if u use bump stops to the wear that they put on the shocks?
2nd and 4th pics look quality. Glad i got away from snow this morning back down to the good old sunny south :p
