Some **** knocked my drivers mirror off, so was cheaper to replace with DTMs (should prevent the same thing happening again)

cheers bud. i know wheels arent everyones cup o tea. hell, they aren't what i wanted, but i needed all new tyre, but instead my mate sold me those wheels cheaper than what tyres woulda been. plus i was bored of the standard 13s after seeing them on the car for more than 2 1/2 years (at the time of putting those rims on)
cupra front bumper needed,get rid of those silly little lights. bigger wheels and you will be sorted mate!
would like to get new bumper, gettin LCR splitter friday so thats a start. Dont wanna do too much to it. hoping to have summat else within next 18 months

where do u tend to go at night in chesterfield..been over a fewtimes but dont see much.might be selling some standard cupra soon, no scruffs and good tread all round..would suit car better.
if your getting cupra front bumper, id start keeping an eye out for skirts aswel.oh and get rid of the lights on the bumper.apart from that looks a tidy motor..
lights will be off soon. just cant be bothered in this weather :D

not my cup of tea, but fair play, cupra kit would look smart
cupra kit would make it look really nice and a better set of wheels mate but it has got potential to look really nice

Cupra Kit. Different wheels. Rid of those lights. Convert to cupra front and rear discs. Im not too sure of DTM's on mk3s....

I don't. Used to up until about a year or so ago. All the local chavs and "Chesterfield Cruise" members hang on Dount. As I said, it's pretty much all chavs. I used to go up Town Hall up until about 2 years ago. The guys up there are much better. More into perfomance than big ass body kits. But think they go elsewhere now as some of the Donuters now go there and obviously attract attention from the local Plod

Some may remember the bridge in the background from when i went about 6months ago and took some. They were shit and the car was ditched. There's also another place I like goin, with a beautiful old bridge in background, and lower half of the car park, you get a church and skyline in background. However, the last time I went there, the car was lowered and only just got out of the car park (steep entrance and exit ramp), now I have the LCR Splitter on there's no chance of getting out in 1 piece :D
Oh, and for some reason, I'm goin through this phase of gettin my car in the strangest places possible. I have a few lined up already such as waste land and high grass parts so it looks like the car has been dumped, but it's too muddy at the mo. Also got this thing about getting it on a Zebra crossing, which i managed, also want a pic parked on a roundabout! And guess what, I found one I could use :D Just unsure if i can get on and off it :D
Also want to park on a train platform for some reason and take pics. That would be cool :D

Splitter made a massive difference........and so did a good clean lol

when i was looking at getting a Mk4 the other week (still not 100% on them, but they are growing), the first thing i said i would do is remove the door strips! That's one thing I've always loved about my car! No strips. Seems every car made has rub strips on the door! They just "forgot" to add em to the Mk3s :D
Oh, and yeah the splitter does make a difference! Makes goin places fun! I know where I can and can't go from experience with it lowered and no splitter. However, I was driving down a country lane the other day, and was a huge dip that caught me out! Had to reverse about 500yards back and go elsewhere ;) LMAO

What engine mk4 would u get?
I was looking at the 1.9 TDi FR (influence by T. Spark)
would love a Mk3 Cupra, but insurance quote was like 1,700! WTF. There's a lad near me who must only be 19 and he has a cupra? how the **** can he afford insurance? Has another car aswell!
Think I'm gonna save for a Mk3 Cupra (always liked them. Think the Mk3 is the best lookin one of the lot! More aggresive looking than the Mk4s ;))

I got a quote on a Mk4 FR for the same I'm paying now (maybe a few quid a month more)
anyway, guess i'll save, pay the rest off on this car, then look for a decent Mk3 cupra! Which by the time I can afford one, there wont be any good ens left! Will no doubt all have high mileage, and not be worth tuning!

Sky Insurance is how lol
Obviously im fully comp with all mods declared. In my experience with insurance Sky are the cheapest with Greenlight in second place lol (all be it £200 more)
just sent a quote request off to greenlight
greenlight wont touch our 1.4's. they said to me since its not a performance car they wont give competative quotes

Where'd those wheels come from Mat?! Deff a good decision, looks great.
some guy was sellin them near me, he got them as a spare set when buying his punto (hence the Fiat badges :D)
What an eventful 6 hours I've just had. Made a start at 9am by cleaning the interior. Instead of leaving it to dry, I got my mothers hair dryer on it :D
Just as I finish, rain. Two minutes later and it's stopped, so on to cleaning the outside. Rinse it, clean, halfway through, rain & sleet again. Anyway, I continued to wash the car in the rain :cartman: I'm sure my neighbours must think I'm wierd, my mum even laughed lol.
Stopped raining, gave it another clean over, and dried. Then on to polishing, unlike last time, I managed to polish it uninterrupted. Then applied a coat of wax after. Just in time too. What happened next? Rain
Gave up putting in the effort I planned to put in, so things like sills and pedals have gone unwashed :cry:
Didn't waste time when it was raining, used that time to check level, tyre pressure etc.

Glad I managed the wax. The part of the car now exposed to the sun has dried beatuifully (other than windows, didn't get chance to do them :()
Looks like it's middle of summer now. Bright, Sunny and warm. Neighbours kids out on scooters with ice creams etc. Think I'm gonna carry on cleaning now. Door Sills and another wipe over (no doubt will be some water spots :cry:

Gave it a quick wipe over with some Quick Detailing Spray. Then set on to cleaning the alloys better, door and boot sills and polished the windows and another coat of rain-x

Once the sun came out, it still looked ok. Wasn't much point in using QD spray and wiping it over as was coming to the end of the day and a lot of folk had already buggered off :D

on top of that, she's stripped hers out, whereas i have a huge 15" sub in back.
but then again, being a bloke - i'd be the better driver of coarse ;)

my LCR splitter has bowed slightly just left of center due to catching car park exit a few times. Need to get it back on stands and get more screws in it and tighten it up more :D

The wing is ****ed! I was turning left, when some twatin pizza delivery guy undertook me and "bam". Got the wing set in shed, just waiting to get into body shop (guy needs it for 2 days during week which I never get! hopefully will be done end of may :D)

everyone has quote about £300, but one of the sponers on local cruise site said £180. bumper needs pulling bacl slightly and door needs a little pulling out.
also gonna get rear quarter on drivers side sprayed as there's a huge scratch near petrol tank. He said that'll be extra £50.
If I had the cash, I'd get a full respray. But I don't see much point if I'm not keeping the car long. Oh well, if I get my bonus this quarter, I might tho :D

Thought so! You not thought of slamming it to the floor? Would be pretty easy with only 15s!
its lowered 40mm now. Speed humps on every road leadin to my estate, only just gets over them now. Also scrapes some car park exits.
If I don't get a cupra, and I still have this by august (MOT due), i'll get coilys for it (gonna need new shocks i think for MOT). Can play with the height then ;)
