hello.
Nice car. 2 things, i dont like the rear lights, EVERYONE puts them on and they are ghey. And im not sure on the wheels other. The to do list sounds good. Do you use the PS2 much?
Rear lights look std FR spec to me - mot ghey at all!
Cheers for the comments mate.
The car is a FR, the lights are standard chum, I never put them on, Seat did. lol Others putting them on just means they must be nice.
Wheels will be getting changed soon once i find new ones i like.
PS2 - use it now and again. Mostly for show, if you could call a PS2 for show now adays. lol
i think the lights are nice, want some for mine!!
What sideskirts have you put on there mate?
looks good, stealthy!
They're Samurai side skirts chum.

Get some piccies up once all that is done matey!
Looks very nice :)
Looks good there :) Pretty nice project you have started. Boot install looks good too - like the lights in there (Dont know if thats what JBerry meant) Either way, its your car - individual and not another out there like it. Keep the good work up and get some pics posted with the spoiler on.
Well fingers crossed the bodywork side of things should be finished at the Jan.
Then i'll start on the interior/brakes and engine.
I like that, looking good :)
Looks good mate! :D
Wheels aren't to my taste but not many are! :)
Dont worry Ad, wheels will be getting changed when it comes to upgrading the brakes.
Still cant see any nice wheels that arent big, big money to replace them tho
That's the trouble - its expensive to get the right looking wheel without copying people...
That's why i've saved up and ordered some expensive wheels! :)
Silver wheels or black again next time?
Silver wheels or black again next time?
Probably go for Antherite to match the bumper inserts. Or black, not sure
looking good mate.. Not normally a fan of the lights but look sweet on yours!

Looks good mate! Will be lovely with the new wheels on :bleh:
Alrite got bored and thought i'd update this a bit.
Took the 17s off and put the standard 16s back on. Coilovers in. Drivers door delocked. Cupra back spoiler:-

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x34/CJFR/3a.jpg
New Dvd player:-
http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x34/CJFR/SV200840.jpg
Footwell Leds (look alot better in the flesh as they match the interior lighting perfect):-
http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x34/CJFR/footwells2.jpg
Then got sick of the pre-facelift front bumper so got a face-lift one, (the one with the small grills, not fussed on the bigger honeycomb in the new frs).Got the grills and the lip below the main grill done in anthracite. Cars to go back to the spray shop to get done again as the anthracite is a touch too light. 20mm spacers on at the back and pressed plates.
Apologies for the bad pics. Will get some better ones up soon.

Do you need it all wiring it in? Or does it just go on a boost pipe?
Goes onto your pipe going to the intercooler, then a small pipe goes to a vacuum line and the control unit needs power, earth and connected to a pin in your ecu. The forge intructions are a gift tho mine was accidentially put in the wrong place and thats why it kept blowing off.

Why don't you put it back on? Does it dump at the same volume all the time or does it vary on how much boost you give it?
Only bought it for a laugh of a fella 2nd hand, dont think i'd ever put it back on, really cant be good for your turbo the way they work. Sound depended on the level of boost, was pretty loud the few times it worked. lol

These came up for sale for £230 so thought it would be rather rude not to. lol  They are absolutely mint except for one bit of kerbing on the passenger side front, but not even noticable.

The wind deflectors dont cut any sound out tho outstanding if you smoke and dont want soaked in the rain. lol

Really nice car mate. Dont usually like the look of the mk4's but yours is very nice. The front looks sooo aggressive with the debadged grill!
Proper job!

Wheels look much better, not too keen on the skirts
but each to there own as they say. Other than that top job:D
New wheels look great!
I'm running a Cupra front bumper with an SMIC and haven't had any problems. I had to modify the front grille and now I reckon more air goes to it than when I had my standard bumper on!

I really wouldnt have the patients to try and modify the cupra bumper without making a total balls of it. or it would've been on a long time ago. :(

Looks good mate, great deal on the wheels too by the sounds of things! :funk: The side skirts aren't to my taste though.

It's actually quite easy to do, all you need to do is drill out all the blocked up honeycombs and then file the edges to finish it off
From this

To this

You can also grind away the blocked up honeycombs from behind
