Yes I have Matt! :D Look proper good aswell! Don't know why but those bigger tyres made it look so much worse with the spacers on. But with the lower profiles - they look spot in! :D We'll have to meet up again soon! I think the only mods I'd done when I saw you was spacers/exhaust? Now I'm gone from colour coding to remap to bumpers to wheels to all sorts! :funk:

To be honest, when I'd got my bumper on and washed the car....I stood back and looked at it and thought "I'm really happy with that! I'm finished modding!" then I walked around the back and was like ":wtf: MOULDINGS??!?!!"

my last mod was a forge FMIC, the one before that was a turbo back milltek, so the the only mod i can think :whistle: left to do has something to do with my mouse pointer keep finding the allards link in my favourites :p

i think i may have a turbo "failure" :whistle: in the summer and "need" ;) to get a "new & stronger" replacement "which will last" [B)]

the bumper upgrade was to try and get more air to the FMIC, but i may try to engineer a "curved fin" type thing inside the bumper to direct more air to the front face of the FMIC behind the crash bar. :think:

is the car lowered in them pics or standard ride height because ive just got some 17inch rs4's with 205 40's on them and somebody said that at normal ride height with 17's ill look like a tractor? so if thats normal ride height then they dont look to bad

I put some tyre dressing on and polished it since. Now the :censored: stuff is all over my wheels. Tyres look good though! :thumbup:

Yeh mine looks lovely in the sun. The flake really shows up. I think these Ibiza's look best in Red, Black or that gunmetally colour.

This weekend I popped the wheels off, gave the brakes a damn good clean and repainted them where they'd gotten a bit stone chipped. Then gave them a coat of lacquer. Don't look that different shiney wise - just a lot cleaner! Only camera phone pics....

Cheers Rash. I used alloy wheel acid and one of those brushes you attached to the end of the hose pipes. But i never connect it! :lol: The wheel acid really gets the brake dust off.

Ah right. I've got that type of locking nut, but thought that it could be taken off easily with a normal hex socket. So i changed them for a set of Mc Gard locking nuts.

I was more worried about the tyres getting nicked than the wheels as they cost me more than the wheels!

It's Meguairs wheel cleaner. Comes in a pink bottle with trigger and foams up when applied. Think it might be called Wonder Wheels. :)

I know what you mean. I got through so many sets of LED bulbs as my sidelights. As they all started flickering. I'm gonna keep my eyes on these ones anyway. They weren't too expensive and I got them off EBAY.

Yeh they are a totally different light. At night it shines down and looks like moonlight! :D Much brighter white light.

Only got the new lamp unit tonight (this one has the map lights on obv) and tried to find some LED sidelights but both are out different packets so are different colours and it looks crap atm. :(

I've changed my head unit to a Pioneer bluetooth jobby! :) There was a spare power cable on the back of that so I put the live to there. :D

Works a treat! The earth I've done to a screw just inside the edge of the dash. And then it obviously goes to the switch and to the light.

Got some spare wires (had to buy them in packs of 5 apparently if anyone wants any if they plan on doing it! The packs of wires cost me over £10! :-o

Each wire comes to £1.38 each or something ridiculous like that! Tried to do it myself with my own wire but they have the proper connectors on these wires. Saves a lot of hassle.

I ordered a blade off ebay the same day I got the key - the key arrived next day but the blade still hasnt arrived - so me being me - i got impatient. Went to my VW garage today and asked about getting a blade. The bloke said "I shouldn't do this because we're not meant to - but I'll do you one for a tenner!" Spot on! Key finished! :thumbup:

It's not been polished or owt. Not since last weekend anyway.....maybe even the weekend before! Just a normal wash. :)

And I know it needs to be lower but I don't think that'll ever happen tbh. Not planning on keeping the car long enough to warrant that I dont think. However - rear bumper I DO agree with! :D

I dunno tbh. I dont ever throw my car into corners. I do too many miles to chuck my car about! need me tyres to last as long as possible! :lol: Go fast in straight lines though. ;)

Red scotch brite it and paint it. :) You can prime it if you like but not necessary. It's not gonna be exposed to much. Eg: stone chips.

Oh and I've found out yes it has made a difference! :lol: Doesnt want to slide so much in corners now. Got more oversteer and less understeer. Will stay planted better whereas before it used to slide when throwing it in hard.

Haha! yeh it's well tidy I know! :blink: Just got it there to try to feed some air to the induction kit. Pretty sure I'm going for a PD160 intake and panel filter though.

I would LOVE it lowered but it'd be about 4-5 weeks wages for me to save up for them to be bought and fitted. Then a bomb on insurance if they'd even insure me.

I am quite glad I don't have it lowered though. We had our second meet down here and Sofageeza in her Mk2 ground on every ramp getting out of the car park and it's not slammed! So it has it's uses being tractorish. ;)

I do actually miss the noise of the induction kit. It used to sound like a bit of bigger turbo! :D

Mine isnt as easy, being the 1.4. I believe that the airbox is built in to the engine cover, but will look in to it :D

Cheers bud! :) I'd tucked a lot of the wire away now. I had it all out in the glove box but now I've folded it up and put it above the glovebox - then put the glovebox back in. Now there's just enough to sort of reach the passenger seat if someone is sat in it.

Before it'd reach to the back seats easy... :blink:

The FR rear valance is what your after. I'm sure the part number is here somewhere in the part numbers thread... it's about £23 IIRC!

I just cut mine bud! :) Cheaper that way. Use a hacksaw and then use a sand paper - getting finer and finer grade until its perfectly smooth! ;)

Its not too bad to do. If you have access to an air saw it makes it a lot easier. ;)

My rims are 17's and they're Skoda Octavia VRS (old style - new Octavia VRS rims are 18's).

Nope - they fit fine even when lowered. The fitment is 5x100.

They dont rub at all. :)

My exhaust is only a cheap powerflow jobby. I've had a full decat system and I think it was £200 - £250. Can't remember tbh....was such a long time ago! :lol:

Standard grille kept! :D FR lights rattled SOOOOOO bad so went!

Only 160bhp and 269ft/lb. But not sure if that was at wheels or fly. Hopefully wheels. Need to get more power now.....:D

I wouldn't ever debadge it - that's getting into serious modding. Pretty much 95% of the things I've done to car can be put back to standard when I come to sell. :)

Tonight - after buying a LCR splitter ages ago, I decided to fit it. I did fit it before when i got the new bumper but really couldn't get it to work. Tonight - i dont think it looks too bad. Maybe a bit of tidying up but it certainly isnt coming off! :D Went a bit screw mad. :redface:
