View Full Version : SEATCupra.net and SEAT UK and The Cupra Championship's
Regarding the SEAT Cupra Championship SEAT UK would like us to attend EVERY event this year and are therefore currently negotiating with each venue that SEATCupra.net can have our own allocated area next to the SEAT UK’s hospitality areas for between 50 and 75 cars, SEAT UK are also s in negotiations regarding the entry fee to each event. We will want to fill as many spots at each event as we can, I think this would go a long way to show SEAT UK the support they do have and open the door for more support in the future.
Selected members will be issued official SEAT merchandise to wear at each race, SEAT really want us to help them promote the product we love so much.
I will keep you all up to date regarding this matter, but for now your comments are very welcome.
cool!
Wont be the last announcemement regarding SeatCupra.net and the championship. keep you eyes peeled on the main site!
Im really happy the members will get to play a part in this years Cupra Championship and get to see some good racing too i hope.
Considering though, it wouldn't be a party without this community, i hope plenty of people take the opportunity to join us at as many events as possible, 50 -75 cars all together, would be superb, and of course a great oppotunity to meet people face to face.
Spot on stroll on Croft :)

I'm interested in Castle Combe and Thruxton, maybe Rockingham, maybe Brands and Silverstone, although I wont be able to go to all those three maybe's....cause I'll get shot as I'm already cleared to go thruxton a few times during the year as it is,,,and maybe the Nurburgring or Spa 24hrs where a mate is driving
Fantastic news. All we need now is Ginsters on board...
Nice one !
Ave it
Rob
just a suggestion
as maybe *ahem* not all spaces filled
how about inviting celebrities to race rounds
ala porsche championship ???
basically each round you have 2 well known celebs / drivers in manufaturer run cars - plain livery usually (sponsor oppourtunity ;)) and add a little more press interest ???
i know SEAT S.A. had some celeb rally drivers not so long back ?
just grab Clarksons List for starters ??? ;) ;)
what ya reckon lads?
Flapper, I believe this is the plan, at least it was when they had the cars at Prodrive event for the drivers last year.
This is what happens with the series in spain. Valantino Rossi and Johnny Herbert were in the guest cars during the season.

Would seem likely that the SEAT Cupra Championship Mentor may take a guest drive too.

This sounds great, I'd be up for attending some of the events (not sure which yet - will decide closer to the time!)

Excellent news!
I look forward to seeing lots of you at Castle Combe, Rockingham and Brands Hatch.
Got confirmation today that I'm marshalling this event at Combe, just waiting for confirmation from the series organisers, BMP, for Rockingham and Brands.
Any chance of some sponsorship for a marshal? I'll have my back to the crowd all day, so a sew-on SEAT patch for the back of my overalls would be very effective ;) A SEAT baseball cap would be nice to keep the rain off too ;)
(If you're reading this SEAT UK, us lowly volunteer marshals don't get much reward. The slightest gesture towards us at these events would be appreciated hugely. Great PR and a good way to get marshals to buy SEATs :D )
Phill
maybe you could plug cupra.net?
I maybe able to get some badges embriodered, if not a marker pen:)
Wicked. :D
I'll be up for Castle Combe for sure. Will try to make it to some others.
Sounds like it will be a great opportunity for the forum members.
Bring it on! ;)
