View Full Version : Just had some fun with a BMW 318
M6 (Thelwall Viaduct) currently has speed restrictions due to them strengthening the bridge supports, and speed limit 40mph with those digital cameras (spec cameras??) Found out today, someone I know got court doing 45mph through
Anyway, muppet BMW driver on mobile, driving at 30mph and I'm starting to get a bit miffed with him as I had a queue of traffic either side of me and couldn't overtake.
National speed limit, he's still more interested in his phone so I flash him, and he starts braking!! Gap in traffic, drop into 3rd, overtake, he starts speeding up.
I'm not that much into road rage, but today was an exception. He starts nailing it... so foot down and fly past him. He's giving me every finger jesture under the sun... I notice his eyes fill with anger when he notices the TDI badge :)
I move onto M62 towards Warrington, come off at the slip road and muppet BMW came from nowhere and cut me up.
Hard on the brakes, hard on the horn... as he's being watched by an undercover police car. Pulls him over, made my day :D
What is it with BMW drivers?????
Goot :)

' BehavIour Made Worse ' when taunted by TDi's whizzing past ;)
We have a 318 and I quite like it actually.
As for getting other drivers in trouble: I had a marked BMW behind me at the traffic lights when a Volvo cut me up turning to go into a junction. I threw both hands in the air and shook my head knowing the police behind could see me, and they went off after the Volvo :D

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Thats about the best thing i have heard in ages....
Can you do it again please.
I had a newish Merc C200, newish Nissan Primera Sport and a plonker in a MKIV Golf 1.6 all try and race me on the way to work today.
They all lost ! :D
I see this guy in the MKIV Red Golf 1.6 every morning, he still insists on trying to race me and has lost everytime, don't these people ever learn ?
(he doesn't even have alloys - haha!)

how about this. taking my girlfriend home the other night and some prat in his 1.0 old banger of a polo came racing up behind me, up my arse, came to the traffic lights and it goes into two lanes, he fell back so he could get a run up onto the other lane, saw him coming up to overtake, just slightly pressed the throttle and he was left for dead, then he turned off at my exit and continued to drive up my arse all the way home, why oh why oh why do they bother, really they are just humiliating themselves, everytime the road was clear i floored it, he was left for dead obviously just to show him what a proper car can do, then when i slowed down he would drove up my arse again. Total numpty!!!!

I thought you were going to say 'it goes into two lanes, he raced by and smashed into a police car' now that would have been funny!!
I could probably out run a 1.0 Polo!!!

Fantastic stories guys, always good making tossers look stupid!
Well i had a little experience the other day on the way home from work...
I got via a village route, as, aside from the 30's and 40's, there's some lovely long straight bits of country road which are good fun to drive along.
Anyway, i'm going through village A and stuck behind about 4 cars, we're in the 30, i'm taking it easy (as always it's my policy to drive at the limit in 30/40 zones or under it) and come to the national speed limit zone.
Opportunity is there to overtake at least one car, so out i go, foot down (it goes like stink thesedays ;) ) - turns out there's nothing coming so i floor it past the other three, and i'm free of traffic.
A *village on* suddenly i've got blue flashing lights coming up behind me and i do the "well maybe he's going by me bit" for about 5 seconds, then realise i'm being pulled. Arse. Pull over, i'm now blocking the road (with the rozzer parked behind me).
PC twaddle comes up to the drivers door, i wind the window down and he says "do you know why i've stopped you?" and i say "no" (as i'd hadn't been speeding afaik). He then tells me that i was "reving my engine hard" (a village back) when overtaking out of the village. He goes on to tell me "he's seen many people killed on this road" and i'm a "dangerous driver" whilst reassuring me that "he knows i can handle the power" of my car.
All this time i'm just kinda looking at him, thinking, "bored are we?". I remind him he's standing in the middle of the road and that it might be a good idea if i got out and chat with him on the pavement. PC Twaddle thinks this is a fine idea. You can almost hear the cogs turn in the noggin can't you?
So end of the day, he's got nothing on me, just took exception to me overtaking (legally) and gives me a producer. Where are the policemen when the local nova-tossers are racing up and down my high street? Bah.
Quite a shock when you're pulled, quite annoying when it's for nothing...
A mate of mine got pulled over for revving his engine to excess coming out of a village a few years ago. What a crap reason, they might as well pull you over for having ur window open or using ur windscreen wipers when its not raining.

Exactly ;o|
Anyone see the program on TV, BBC1 I think, about the traffic police in south yorkshire last night?
That crash where the coppers tyre shreeded was a bit hairy!!:yikes:
Yeah it was.
Mind you - that was a shyte bit of driving when the copper stuffed his Volvo into the side of the HGV. I mean - an empty stretch of road, he could see the lorry indicating and moving over for ages (albeit he shouldn't have been), but still insists on trying to squeeze down the outside.
Bolloxs the lorry driver for not using his mirrors, why the feck didn't he use his, along with a bit of initiative and swing up the inside.
Muppet !
Yeah, I thought he was a bit of an arse!! Cocky traffic cop type!!
Why didn't he stick his lights on? And the thing that got me was he was harping on about how they are professional drivers and should be more aware of the highway code, and using their mirrors, and it was a bloody hire van!!!
I have been done for speeding on the A616 a couple of years ago - coming down that big hill where he was hiding last night :( . The cocky bugger then went on to show me the radar gun and trying to explain it to me (I didnt want to tell him I was an engineer so probably knew more about it than he did ;))

Well had this argument with the missus last night, she said if he hadn't been driving at 120mph he would have been able to stop and avoid the crash, but I said that wasn't the point, if he had been 2 secs ahead and driving at 80mph it would have still happended.
This van driver had 3 lanes why the f**k did he have to move to the outside lane ?
Yeah, I know he shouldnt have been going into lane 3, but the copper saw him indicating and went for the gap anyway - "if you move over it will be your fault, not mine" attitude. People do all sorts of things they shouldnt on the road, but if someone is indicating, there is a good chance (although not certain) that they will move over - just because they shouldnt be there doesnt mean they wont do it. He asked the driver why he was in lane 3, but wouldnt let him answer (he was trying to say it was because he was going to go right at the roundabout I think)
I had a similar situtation happen to me a few years ago.
I was on a dual carriageway coming down the hill about 90mph (on private road of course ;) ), there was a roundabout at the bottom, there was a junction coming onto the dual carriageway a few hundred metres before the roundabout.
I see this car about to move out on to dual carriageway from this junction, so I move into outside lane so he can get out easily, but he continues to move into my lane right in front of me, I had to brake hard to avoid crashing into him.
So whos in the wrong?
He must have been able to see me flying down the outside lane, but still decides to pull right into my path.
:(

Totally agree with all that, just want to add my 2p worth.... dunno if any1 else noticed, but it was on a slight left hand bend in the road so therefore the copper was out of the lorrydrivers view in his mirrors cos he has a great big fooking trailer on......:(
Still thought it was funny as f*ck tho, when that diesel astra cop car undertook the traffic cars to get at that speeding volvo.... how embarassing for the traffic cops...????
