Ok, found that autoacoustics do a custom fit sub enclosure for the side of the boot for a mk3 ibiza but does anyone know who does one for a mk2? i dont mind making the rest myself ( false floor, side panel for amp and set backs with logo) but really dont fancy messing around with resins myself. Plus figure it would be cheaper in the long run to buy one ready made. Anyone got any ideas?

Not found any to date, if you do find anyone who does let us know as I'm going to do it myself if not!
SQ Plus in Manchester will make you one, but only trouble is they'd require your car, unless of course they already have a mould.
Contact them here www.sqplus.com
They did my custom box in the Leon, which is very strong, gives a superb sound with my Focal Sub, very tight.
They had the car for 2 days though, needed pratically a full day for it to harden to a mould before they covered it, and fitted my Sub.
Wasnt a problem for me, as i left it with them while i was away in Germany. Maybe worth trying them though, they may be able to suggest a method or as i say have a mould anyway, and send it off to you.

Haven't had a go yet but am going to do a false floor etc. ( full on boot build ) as well. Anyway if anyone is interested there's a company called Trylon that you can get fibreglass stuff from,
http://www.trylon.ltd.uk
much cheaper than somewhere like Halfords!

Cool, have made a false floor for mine but am going to redo it to put a hatch in to get to the spare and also have an idea about embossing the seat logo into it. Have been told that the mk3 ibiza boot is almost identical to the mk2 so the custom box from that should fit. Am just waiting for confirmation about it. Then its full steam ahead! :D
Keep us informed on your progress Kev and let us know of any problems you come across. Im sure there are a lot of experts in here we can call on for advice!

Will do, I was contemplating the seat logo as a cut out in the floor displaying the amps, which could also give some ventilation to them! I'm unsure whether to keep the spare in and have a hatch to access it, or get rid of it ( how much use is a 15" space saver when you're running 17's anyway? ) and use the whole boot floor.
Finding it difficult to keep a weekend free at the moment, might have to be done over a week or two in the evenings!:drink:

Cool, im having the same problems mate! time is the main issue right now. Been in contact with auto accoustics and were gonna try a mk3 box on the off chance it may fit. If not then im going to loan them my car so they can get a mould for a mk2 so it looks like a custom box should be available soonish! yay! wonder if we can get a club discount? hmmmm :D

Discount would be nice. SQ plus would do a side box but you'd expect to pay a good £250, that mk3 one is £150 isn't it. Anyway I've got my jigsaw out, going to purchase some mdf at lunch and need to decide how much fibreglass I need!
If it goes well then I'll save a fortune, if not then It'll be a learning experience!
I've got a Renegade 380W amp, and a Longmill 12" sub in a sealed box, which sounds good.
Problem is, I took my Nan to Tescos, and we had to put stuff on the back seat because my sub box was in the way...
I was going to do a whole custom install, but I'll never get round to it. If Auto Acoustics could make one (don't suppose they'd like to give me one for £100?!), that would be ideal. My bulky MDF thingy sounds good and only cost me £35, plus I want to lower my ibiza, so I don't really want to spend my lowering money on GRP boxes, no matter how trick they are!!!
Let me know what happens...
Matt.

Cheers martyn
Thats my boot, sorry I haven't been able to get it posted up sooner. A lot cheaper than going out and buying one, but a lot of work to do it yourself!;)
No probs Kev.
Hmm, the custom boxes look pretty sweet, time for one in my cordy methinks. The fecking box that came with my rockford is huuuge.

Martyn..
Get yourself another rockford sub and buy my custom sub box... :D :D :D :D

Dont think the pansy amp is upto it, I've had to take it back as its decided it works better as an electric heater than an amp.
Also my car rattles enough as it with just one sub, let alone two ;)
Hows about making me a custom box for my single 12"er?

No you want to get a 150A1 amp and another sub, then use the current amp for the front's.... I had a 150a1 before and it's a blindin' amp when run into 2 ohms, nice and loud and perfectly clear....
