View Full Version : SEAT dealer service cost's
I was led to believe that service cost's where roughly about the same
throughout the U.K. at all SEAT franchises.
Far enough you might pay a little more down south with the higher
cost of living,but it simply alarmed me recently having just
discovered the savings I could of made had I taken my car
15 minutes up the road!
Q.Just paid £170.00 for 20,000 mile service,
does this seem steep?

Paid 215 at my local Newbury dealer after asking them for 'the best price'...
:mad: :mad: :mad:
yep, i find prices vary, In the South West SEAT dealers charge different amounts for the same service. most dealers will let you supply your own 5 litres of oil, this is often way overpriced. I always ask for a full breakdown of costings to be safe.

No mate, it was Richard Huzzey of Newbury. I should of asked for a price up front but assumed I would be 'looked after' as I bought the car there and have used them ever since...

happy birtthday... I'll have an extra pint tonight to celebrate..:cheers:
Costs for my services (so far):
10K = £80
20K = £140
30K = £91 (including new headlamp bulb) - Barnsley :thumbsup:
Usually doing 20K miles in 1 year so it depends on the frequency of the service too.
Ted Johnstons in Barnsley gets my vote and recommendation... (not too much of a bad run over 'snake pass')...
Had my own fair experience of dodgy dealerships. (saying no more)
:cheers:
Awwwwwwwwww cheers guys
just gotta get the missus to pay for an install at sq+ now as a
birthday present!
Dont worry I'll be doing plenty of :drink: :cheers:
And maybe later I'll be:sick: :repuke:
its also a bit dependent on how old your car is and if it had the annual service check. My 10k service was about £90 and it was less than 4 months after I bought the car. The annual check was at the 30k service which from memory was just over £200.
I'm sure my 20k was in the hundreds. I'll check and get back to you
(all bar 10k done at Husseys)
