Seat / bench retrims

Anyone done this? What were the costs? Did you supply your own materials or chose from your re-trimmer? Can anyone recommend any good suppliers/retrimmers to talk to?

I'm planning on retrimming the seats in black leather with dark blue alcantara (or similar) in the same style as the existing seats (Mk2 Ibiza Cupra) with the alcantara in the middle part, if that makes sense. Also thought about getting the front door pocket/speaker enclosures trimmed in the alcantara too.

ed yours half leather already?just fitting the centre peice?
done a bit of machine sewing in my time,can ya just not unpick the stnd cover ,cut out the shapes in the material ya need and get a very freindly aunt/nan/mum to get their old "singer" out.
i'd have a go myself but i used to sew boots,leather but not that fussy how the stitching went.:redface:

the std trim carries quite a large hem internally if it helps

Jase, yes it is half leather but I've got the multicolour dot/splash type fabric in the centre bits. Also been advised that it's difficult to reuse/restich the original leather. Wanna stay half leather to keep cost down a bit and cos I don't really want a full leather seat anyway.
