Is it Awesome as first stated or has it changed to Dubsport?
Who is Dubsport? Has anyone dealt with them?

Dubsport is pretty well known within the VW scene with their project cars including a twin engined 16v, rear engined VR6 turbo and a twin engined VR6.
I haven't dealt with them customerwise but for VW's they seem to know pretty well what they're doing.

Cheers,
GJ.

Dubsport are the North West REVO dealers as stated on REVO's website.

Awesome GTi have opted to remain APR dealers, as they are now the official UK distributor.

Ive not dealt directly with Dubsport, so can't comment one way or the other, i know a couple of people who have, and ive not heard complaints.

They are what i would describe as uber tuners, they do some pretty outlandish tuning jobs like twin engined golfs and VR6 Lupo's, fairly well known in the VW community, will try and get up there soon and pay em a visit, doesn't harm to introduce ourselves.

In the meantime this is their webby

I know Dubsport V well,Had previous car work done there always happy,
never any probs or owt.R kid uses them vigilantly with his Rallye.

Dubsport where formed from when a mechanic (Ian Birch) left Awesome
to form his own garage, alas Dubsport was created.
Ian is an apsolute nutter and if you have a crazy idea for your
motor he's your man!
Since however the garage has changed ownership to another party
who I don't know (yet),but Ian still floats about somewhere.

They are easy to find located next to the motorway.
The only thing to bear in mind with both Awesome and Dubsport is they
are both predominantly catered toward the VW scene-however both are
becoming more and more noligable with audi's/SEAT's/Skoda's etc as
each day passes.Sure you would have no probs with a revo chip though!!

I posted up a while ago that Awesome are staying as an APR agent and
will become the main EU distributer, but no-one listens to me!

Counter-hijacking

Personally I'm torn between REVO and JABBA. They both have their pros and cons. I just need convincing.

bet you could get 250+BHP out of yours......
I would love a go when you get it done(please)

Q.I would just be curious how a front wheel drive 2wd car would handle
such power?

Like I've said in other threads I was all for REVO but Dangel gave such a good report on JABBA fettling his Cupra to 240 bhp and 247lb/ft and this 'personal' service sounds top notch.

Jabba gives rolling roads before/after and the individual car is tuned, Dangel was there for 9 hours 'til everything was spot on, boost adjustment whilst driving also £280 cheaper.

REVO gives anti-theft option, tuning harder to detect, I am in the 'dubsport area' in the next month so no 10 hour round trip

It really is a case of swings and roundabouts.

I'm totally confused.

Rolling roads are really to be taken with a pinch of salt,
yes its nice to have a graph saying my car can do this, but will the
car actually perform this way all the time?
NO, IT WILL NOT.
Yes it gives a good indication to what it can do,but thats all!
Rolling roads differ immensly, but will have to say the one at
jabbasport is one of the best in the country(4wd and everything!)

Hope this helps to further confuse you,but as a REVO customer I can
vouch for the awesome package they have put together!

I know that both REVO and JABBA are leaders in their fields and I believe they are the only two companies worth considering.

I think I'll reserve judgement 'til Pagnobito has had his R jabba'd.

We shall see! But one way or another the R is getting what it deserves. (Obviously not in the wet)

You could add APR to that arguement!

I'm confused as it is.

Yesterday I was all for JABBA but when I woke up this morning it was all REVO.

It's back to the old Daddy or chips syndrome.

See if you can get a testdrive in a similar car, one with REVO and one with Jabba, to see which engine characteristics you like best.

After all, each to it's own and while some prefer power in the low
and mid end, some people prefer it in the high end (although I haven't
got a clue why).

Cheers,
GJ.

P.s. One good reason to stick to 2 companies...a coin only has 2 sides ;)
