Congrats matey I take it your happy?:dunno:
Has kev got his own Branch of Revo in Rugby now or is this apart of
his plans to take over the world?
Anyways,Lets hope mine and your motor probs are over so we can have
fun with the Revo power we now have>>>>:car:
my ABS+TCS lights on the dash were fixed for all of 24 hours, now the lights appear on the dash yet again. Very annoying. Gonna get it into IMG soon to be looked at, but im pretty sure its a wireing fault coz ive had a new ABS unit and new ABS pump fitted. VAG 1552 states problem as intermitent ABS Hydralic pump fault, but thats been replaced twice now. Very confusing, but lookers wont touch my car now coz of the HU in the tray- they say the problem is due to having that fitted there, coz its "interferring with the wireing" :(

Did you modify the tray yourself for the H/U or did you have
SQ+ do it like me?
I know they had probs with a Ibiza Cupra that the owner wanted his
H/U in the centre air vents, didn't fit right and air came out of the
H/U.
Just realised our cars are so similar in the mods we have!
Q.who is copying who?
yeah SQ+ have done all my ICE, inc the HU in the lower tray (under steering wheel) I didnt know about all your mods until weve met here! Just shows we have good taste :p

Does your H/U fit O.K.? (no rattles or anything)
When SQ+ did mine it was a bit of a learning curve for them
as was the 1st person in the country to put it there (so I'm told!)
-great job as always-but I have still further modified the
work they did and the H/U now sits like it was born there!
fits perfectly mate, no rattles, just looks like it should be there. I just need a remote control for it now.:)

Ummmmmm let me see,If you bort the H/U from SQ+ you no dowt av
a Alpine.......
I have found they always recomend:
Alpine controllers,
Diamond speakers,
Pheonix gold cabling,
DLS amplification,
and lots of alacatara......
Well they say all of the above is the best and who is going to argue
with them:dunno: afterall have you seen the demo prowler with the
tv screen's in the front bumper and a full diamond install.
I asked phil how much the Diamond amp was in the prowler;
He replied"you won't get much change out of eighteen"
I said"Hundred"
He said "no grand"
The wiring problem Lookers mention is the K-line interference its a common problem on all VAG cars with aftermarket HU's, some manufacturers actually offer a specific cable that wont interfere with the K-Line electronics.
May be worth mailing Alpine and see what they say.
Although to me lookers are using it as a get out clause.

There's a thread about this on ICECavern, you just need to make sure two pins aren't connected to....

Pete
Made sure of this prob wouldn't occur on mine,
I can state that there is no way any interferance is being created
from the H/U to the cars electrics.Every cable is well insulated
and installed in a way that induced currents will not occur!
My electrical probs aren't related to the H/U anyways and like
you say they are just using it as a get out clause not to do the
work under warrenty!
they stated at lookers "will are not willing to carry out those works
under warrenty as you have an non oe stereo"
I replied"So the boot full of Ice is fine then!"
To say I was    is an understatement!!!!!!

Thanks for the link pete, but as both myself and Mike had our ice
installed at SQ+,you would think this will not be the problem!
