All my plans for the CupraR fell through, so I bought a different (nearly)new car with my head instead of my heart....Makes sense with all the miles I do... I will have the R one day!

Firstly apologies for posting non-Seat thread, hope nobody minds!

I have looked on the Revotechnik website, and there seems to be no mention of the 2.5 V6 tdi engine for ecu re-mapping... Is there any plans to do the mapping for this engine??

Before my Mazda I had a A6 1.9TDI 110 remapped by SUPERCHIPS, with the K&N map, was rolling roaded @ 151BHP (I was over the moon) and it was really great, but I have heard from a pal of mine, who is freinds with someone who does Revo stuff in Thetford that you guys can work wonders with VAG Tdi's..... (and the people I had the superchip off have since been bunch of W@nk3rs to a good friend....)

Will be really interested in any ideas you might have....

Kindest Regards

Matt, Ex Mazda owner, now V6TDI owner on Monday!....

I think you may well be in luck!
REVO_Mark has also got a 2.5V6 Tdi Passat (nice motor) and I suspect that some REVO code may well be available :D

Is yours manual g'box? or tiptronic?/auto?

Best idea is give em a call.

Give Clive Atthowe a ring over in Norwich. I'm pretty sure he's a REVO dealer now.

It is the Manual gearbox, the tiptronic seemed quite a smooth drive, but you feel too remote....

Plus it is slow to react when using auto kickdowns etc....

I will give Clive a ring.

Thanks all.

Manual boxes cause no problem when using ECU software upgrades so this is not a problem. However we may not have the code available now.
Firstly we require the complete number set from the ECU sticker.
If you can get this and notify us of it first we can get the ball rolling. If you cannot obtain this I am sure any of our dealers can locate it on the car if you visit them.

Is Mark's Passat the Tiptronic? Do you need a car to develop the manual code on?? If so, can mine be of service??

I am in Norwich, not sure where you guys are, but I am willing to travel a bit if I can help...
I will get the code off my ecu.. Once I work out which bit it is

Hi
Yes mine is a tiptronic. registered last March. We are currently working with the code and if possible trying to offer two versions. One with transmission software and one without.

Will keep you posted.

best regards
Mark..

This might be a hot item, as a friend of mine is also wants to be revo'd. He's got the 180hp tdi though.

I think the 180 is a different engine... Or at least that is what I have read..

Apparantly the 150BHP v6 is variable vane turbo, but uses diesel distributor pump, and the 180 uses V/Vane turbo same as mine, but is enhanced by the fact that it uses common rail system to get the fuel in.(I think the 180 will be more tweakable)

But I am more than happy with the 150bhp version, it would just be nice to have a little more ooomph!! Is there ever enough?;)

I am pretty much clueless as to the differences between the 2. I know there are 3 versions the 150hp a 163hp and a 180hp model. I would expect that all would be very tweekable!

Mark, Any news on how powerful you have managed to get your V6TDI tip up to yet????

I am trying to be patient.... But it is not one of my strong points ;)

I wish I could be there to see yours being done... Are you doing minor tweaks, then dyno, more tweaks?? I don't really know how this process works, or is it top secret ??
:D :D
