Pics are great Craig,

Hopefully see you Sunday at Cow & Calf

Aimez
16-01-2008, 15:36
more fantasic pics there I'm so jealous! I will be using a mixture of camera I think I have digital camera a casio Exilim 10.1 mega pixel and an very old Canon EOS 650 both take brilliant pics and I have a tripod too!

Craigus
16-01-2008, 16:54
Rikh - unfortunaltly i dont think i can make it sunday, some things come up, but i will hopefully be able to catch up with you another day, and we can get you're car detailed with the porter cable.

aimez - The key is angle's, angles make the pics look that little bit arty, tripod is a must, and long exposures with no flash which you should be able to control on the old canon you have.

hope that helps,

craig

Aimez
19-01-2008, 14:55

Craigus
29-01-2008, 19:37
i will try and take some piccies of the damage, but i hate looking at the front of it,

This is what the garage said it would need,

Tom B
29-01-2008, 19:46
Ah sounds like I was lucky, I only needed to have my bumper repaired and resprayed.

How fast did they hit it? I hit my boss' 350z with a fair amount of force in the car park the other day, all I damaged was the bumper! As bad as that sounds, it was an accident...honest!

Craigus
29-01-2008, 19:49
He must have hit it with some force as my alarm was going off and theres a big dent in the slam panel

Airbox lid smoothed, a popular mod with the leons, smoother airflow, you can see the smooth sides...

Also did you take the funnel bit out where the MAF goes in ???

Craigus
01-10-2008, 21:23
Yes matey i did, there were the two screws that hold the maf unit into the airbox lid, i cant see how i can get to the ridges on the top to remove them, any tips?

Craigus
06-10-2008, 20:42
I decided to go full on with the leon, but its gunna be a big project, i started on the N/S wheel and arch....

i used a mixture of meg's a.p.c, and a trim sealent,

During... You can see the dirt on the rear shell, a clean patch,

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture001.jpg

A few afters.....

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture002.jpg

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture005.jpg

Then the wheel needed a good clean,

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture007.jpg

After
http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture008.jpg

Wheel back on..

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture009.jpg

Back down on the floor,

http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/Craigbxc/Picture012.jpg

Gunna do each wheel then start on the underneath, then the engine bay, will keep you posted.

You need a dremil or a drill to get the bits out of the bottom.
On the LCR the funnel need's to be there, Dav3 tock his out and we think thats what killed his MAF.

Car's looking good by the way ;)
