Hello, newbie here..
Great forum you have going here.

I was wondering if anyone has the PD100 engine in their Ibiza and has modified theirs in any way.
I currently have a Fabia TDi which currently has a custom remap and switchable tuning box. I'm thinking of a custom exhaust...

Anyone have one fitted, or can give me some guidance?

Maybe I should just wait for the Fabia vRS...

Cheers.

Hi Fabia, nice to see another TDI convert!!!

Just one thing you do realise this is a SEAT site? ;)

The more the merrier

Welcome onboard..

I have a custom exhaust on mine as does RB5 (Fen) Both of us have powerflow de-cat systems on our revo tuned pd130s. There are some horror stories about powerrflow exhausts booming at high speeds but I can't say I'd agree with them on mine. Oh yeah and welcome to the site.

Decatting makes a huge difference to the turbo spool-up speed, so the car is far more drivable. I'd love to have had mine back on the rollers after the decat to see what difference it made to the output (maybe close to 200bhp?) but that won't happen now it would appear.

FabiaTDI; Welcome aboard, good to see another side of VW's parts-bin! It's unusual to see a Tuning Box and chip used together especially on the PD engines, do you have any details on how they set it up to run together? How is it for smoke at WOT?

Thanks for the warm welcome,
I know its a SEAT forum, but its hard to find out about PD tuning - especially for Fabias! So I hope you all dont mind. Anyway mine is the same platform as the Ibiza (or is it beezer??)

My chip is from Jabbasport and the tuning box is from Bromleys. I have wired in a dash mounted switch for the 'box.

Chip gives 145bhp and 220lb/ft. With a previous (not very successful) Superchip, the tuning box added 13bhp and 37lb/ft. I'm not sure what the two together provide now. But the box still makes a difference, mainly at lower revs.

I dont seem to get any smoke or clutch slip at the moment.

Where can I find out more about Powerflow exhausts?

Also has anyone tried disconnecting their EGR valve. I've been experimenting with mine now for some time, but not quite sure if it makes a difference!

The .uk bit is very important

I'm waiting for dyno plots to see the difference with the decat-system ? I'm not sure is a huge difference...

Welcome on board. It shouldn't matter that that this is a Seat site as both belong to the VAG family.:)

As Rage & RB5 already mentioned try de-cating and a filter.

Been considering a Jabba re-map for my (old tech non PD) Beezer along with Upsolute.
Jabba are a very long way from me though :(
Any more mods done to your Fabia? (not just engine)
Got any pics? (chance to show off!)

Known a few people now with Powerflow exhausts and have heard mixed reviews but these seem more likely to be dealer related than the quality of the metal so be careful where you go...

I can very highly recommend Jabbasport. Their knowledge and customer service is excellent.
The thing with a Jabbachip is that its a custom remap for your car and is mapped on a rolling road, suited to the engine in your car.

Superchips and Upsolute are off the shelf chips using data taken from another vehicle etc. (I wont bore you with the details as you probably know all this)

I had a superchip before which was expensive and crap, so I had a refund and went to Jabba. (Jabbachip was about £100 cheaper)
I have read very good reports about Upsolute chips on TDICLUB.

I'm not too sure if Jabba do non PD vehicles, but give them a ring.

Thats a pic of my car, although I now have some 16" BBs RXs fitted.

Apart from the engine mods the car is pretty standard.

If you have any questions on the Jabbachip, give me a shout. You can usaully find me over on

How much was the Jabba chip for the PD engine?

Sounds good.

Mine cost £350.

Not bad for nearly 4 hours work (most of which was on the rolling road)
Mine was the first Fabia they had done, which is why it took a little longer.

Thats a pretty hefty increase in power & torque. Do you know if they have done any 130 PD engines and the power/torque figures?

You can always go with Upsolute. Was my 1st choice a while back, then Revo came out and well you know the rest of the story.

The local Upsolute guy told me that there are a couple of programs for each car, so you can pick what you want.

Fabia looks classy in that colour, with the BBS's no doubt more so, nice and discreet, bet it surprises a few rep-mobiles!

For the PD 130 with a jabbachip, youre looking at 182-185bhp and 301-313lb/ft.
