I called my dealer, Sutton Park in Maidstone today, to ask about getting my squeaky clutch looked at, and was told that I couldn't be booked in until at least Friday, if they are still open as the Administrators are in! It will be a shame if they close, they are convenient and give me excellent service.
I suppose I will have to look for another dealer in the Maidstone area if they fold, any suggestions for a good one?
Pagnobito ,
TBH they will be no great loss to me.
I have been holding my tongue but here goes!

I took my car in to them twice for warranty work. They have left it in a complete state.
I asked them to sort out my rattling rear seats and was told that they could not do it. - took it to Westerham Seat - all fixed!
I asked them to look at my wonky centre console - and was told complete lies about it being an import so they couldn't fix it. - took it to Westerham Seat - "someones completely broken your centre console, we need to get you a new one!!"
My lovely new leather seats have been damaged by some Tw@t of a mechanic getting in and out of the driver's seat without moving the seat!
I reset my trip computer before taking it in (and with a full tank of petrol)and it was returned with 3/4 of a tank left and an average of 12mpg!
The interior trim has scratches where they've removed bits and not treated with any care.
No feedback was given about the work they'd done just excuses and lies. God knows where the screws I found scattered in the footwell came from, hopefully not from my car!

If you're looking for a top dealer with good customer service and guys that know what they're doing I would recommend Westerham Garage. It's a pain having to drive all that way but definately worth it. Peter the service manager is very helpful and they also do a lovely cup of fresh coffee!
PS I live up the road from you but have never seen an 'R' in Aylesford!
I will second that go to Westerham there the dogs.

Thanks for the suggestion, as it happens Westerham is sort of on my way to work so it would not be too much of a detour if they offer a car to get me the rest of the way. I will give them a call tomorrow.
I'm not surprised you have not seen me Kentboy, I have seen a black Cupra or two about in the area though. I tend to keep the R hidden away when I am at home and when I am out I tend not to be in Kent. I certainly do not drive it into Maidstone to leave in a car park for someone to get their sticky fingers on it. I get the bus.
I did notice mine was only pulling 18mpg today, but that was over 7 miles at average 13mph stop start a bit so not too worried. Still up in the 30's on the motorway, even with the extra boost, not much chance to use it on the M25..
Maybe I will see you about sometime, you will know it is me, tinted windows and a private plate starting M.
Agree with you totally with regards to Sutton Park. I took my Cordoba there many moons ago, for a service. They are cowboys in all respects, both sales and servicing. I know there is one in tonbridge wells. I purchased my Black R at WJ King in Sidcup. First impressions are OK and seem very professional.

No great loss as far as I'm concerned.
Went there 4 weeks ago looking for Ibiza TDi details/drive, still waiting on the promised phone call.
MaxMatt of Hastings (where I got what I wanted) seems a pretty good setup, but it's probably 30 miles in the wrong direction from Maidstone for most folk.
Just to let you know lads that the garage in Tonbridge has folded so Westerham is the only one left really, but then the garage in Tonbridge was rubbish. Put my Ibiza 20vt in for two weeks. 1. new heater matrix. 2. sort the central locking out. 3. repair the horn.
I pick the car up two weeks later find that the only thing repaired was the horn also gained an extra 210 miles on the clock found out later on that it was used for delivering parts. Wan*ers:mad:
Maxmatt are very good and can strongly recommend them. The only minus side is that they do not have a servicing dept. Once again, I know Sidcup is a fair distance but maybe worth it. My R is going in for some warranty work at Sidcup which will be a bit of a test for them. So, if they get it right I will sing their praises as they would have passed my test. The sales team are very good Lee particularly. Hope this helps.

Regrettably SEAT appeared to have disappeared from Maidstone :-(
All the signage has been removed as have all the vehicles.
I have had very good warranty service from them, particularly Richard and they are / were very convenient for where I work

Oh dear that is a shame, they are as you say quiet convenient, and Richard is a good engineer, I hope he finds a good home.
I had anticipated and already booked my car in to Westerham.
Good luck to all who sailed in her. RIP Sutton Park Seat.

No loss to me regarding Sutton Park. I have used Westerham from the start and am very pleased with them. Sutton Park wound me up just by their attitude when I went in, so vowed never to use them.

OK Went to Westerham today and would endorse everything that has been said about Peter and the dealer. Well worth the trip and will definitely be using them in the future

Just tried to book my car in for a service at Sutton's only to find that no-one was answering.. checked the Seat website and their garage has disappeared... (penny begins to drop).. check on here.. answer found.
Oh well.. That's a bugger.. I thought they were OK. Especially Helen on the 'phones. She was always able to sort me a convenient time (fnarrr fnarrr) and they always fixed it in a perfect time.. Not that I disagree with what you all said, but I've never had a problem and found them remarkably efficient..
just goes to show..
