Andybon

Painted the front calipers red today, will do the rears next weekend, and give the fronts another coat.
All i will say is i got more on the driveway than on the actual clipers. Was very runny.

Where you going bud?

I thought Autoglym was just as good as good as Meguiars. But I was proven wrong yesterday as I used some of my Meguiars Carnuba Wax and I'm back in love! :D

Next plans are for the windows to be tinted, lowered on some coilovers, cupra front and rear bumpers, colour coded bump strips and a smooth boot.

lovely colour car there mate. when you get a bit low on the meguiars stuff, try getting some clearkote red machine glaze, or the yellow creme wax, and top with the carnauba moose wax. gives blue that colour a very deep, wet look. my last 206 was near enough same colour and that was the best look i got from it.
the carnaube moose wax lasts longer than the megs stage 3 too.

Andybon

Thanks

Happy with the results i get from the megs stuff. Only have to do it once a month, unlike when i used auto glym, nearly every week.
Ive noticed that sometimes it comes up purple in the sun, like theres a slight flip in the paint, looks very trick for a standard colour

Cupra headlining kit, dash bling maybe? Gearknob/air vent surrounds? Nice exhaust? Panel fiter? :D

Matty.
15-03-2008, 17:02
any more pictures on the arm rest?

might look into getting one but dont know yet
does it get in the way of the handbreak?
whats it like?

Already got a panel filter in, got a pipercross one. Seen some rings that go around the vents that I may get and some that go in front and behind the ger stick. Unsure about an exhaust as i cant see any for the 1.4 16v, but would like a nice oval one. What does the cupra headlining look like?

Also the armrest does get in the way of the handbrake when its down, all i do is put my arm around it and pull it up, it can be tilted back and put out of the way. The top slides forward and back, also it can be adjusted for height slightly with a dial underneath.

Black! ;)

I've heard if you put the diesel exhausts on the petrols it sounds quite nice! :)

Cos you have one less silencer on the diesels. :D

Andybon
16-03-2008, 17:09
Couldnt be bothered with messing around with a headlining, too much hard work.
Wouldnt the diesel exhausts be a different bore, or are they all the same size?

I'd imagine probably bigger. I think the tdi's are 2.5 inch bore. But like I say - the diesel system has only one silencer whereas the petrols have two. So it would make it louder and still be genuine SEAT parts. :)

23-04-2008, 20:03
Thanks for the comments so far

Yet more spending on the beeza over the last month

Firstly had it serviced at a local independent vag garage, JVW in Haydock, top bloke

Also added a new richbrook aeriel as some theiving little g1t nicked the standard one (Even though i would like to kick their teeth in, I also would like to shake their hand for getting it off and not damaging the car)

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f34/andybon123/Seat%20Ibiza/P4230057.jpg

Also got a set of wind deflectors off ebay

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f34/andybon123/Seat%20Ibiza/P4230053.jpg

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f34/andybon123/Seat%20Ibiza/P4230055.jpg

Next up is to sort the little niggles out, mainly the anti roll bar knocking, and the faulty lambda sensor, then in for the windows to be tinted (light smoke all around)

Andybon
24-04-2008, 18:03
Got bored when i got in from work, Didn't like how long the aeriel was so cut it down a bit. Heres how it ended up

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f34/andybon123/P4240057.jpg

Looks good but it does sod all for the signal for the radio

Ibiza 130 tdi
24-04-2008, 18:15
You'd maybe be better getting a Honda aerial then bud?

They're bumpy but dont cut your signal I believe.

Andybon

Like the look of this one, also its on pretty tight with some loc tight on.

kenny_fr
24-04-2008, 19:59
Nah i would get an extra short aerial from a vauxhall omega facelift is
about an inch long had one on my old fiesta and signal is still great with it.

Cars looking good is there much more mods that you are going to do?

Andybon
24-04-2008, 20:28
For the moment it will be have the windows tinted (light smoke all around), lower it 35mm, colourcode the rub strips and fit some facelift bumpers.

bertrum
27-04-2008, 21:05
I had an '02 Ibiza 1.2 s and had the same anti-roll bar knockin. Go down to your dealer and ask about the recall on the roll bars - think I got it done on warranty!

Andybon
27-04-2008, 21:14
Mine is well out of warranty now, Got a price at a local place to have it done. Goes in on wednesday for it and a faulty lambda sensor.

bertrum
27-04-2008, 21:23
So was mine, because of the recall it has to be done free of charge - even out of your standard warranty.

Andybon
27-04-2008, 21:31
Might give that a try, will give them a ring in the morning

Andybon
18-05-2008, 17:58

those wheels are 18" aren't they, they look mahoosive.

Andybon
28-06-2008, 16:47
I make window frames and just have a dabble now and again, where as my dad has been doing it since he left school. Hes not long off retiring. He had to ask very nicely where he works if we could use the booth after work to do it.

LED boot, interior and glovebox light (Just ordered)
Twin backbox or oval
Front and rear Mudflaps
Chrome interior bits (Heater vent rings, and gear gaitor surround)
And a personalised Reg plate off the parents for my bday (Looking at T26 BON at the minute)
And a very good clean again (To get it as it is in the pics, as it hasnt been done in 3 months!)

27-10-2008, 22:28
Can i just say been there done that with the LED lights. It's not worth it. I had the LED number plate lights and they couldn't have lasted a month. The LED glovebox light is useless - really doesn't light the glovebox up at all. Looks nice, but it's USELESS.

Keep your eye on the number plate lights or you might get pulled by the fuzz.

love the wheels and the chrome mirrors.

how much did you pay for the chrome mirrors ?

Andybon
28-10-2008, 16:53
The chrome mirrors where already on the car when i got it.
As for the LEDs, ill give them a go, and if they dont look any good, or dont work as well i'll go back to the standard ones, A bit of trial and error!

Back from the rolling road day at awesome, Decided to put my car on just to see how it did.

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f34/andybon123/scan0001.jpg

Did 110bhp at the fly on the second run, which i was quite impressed with as it only has a Pipercross panel filter on it :D

Also the tints, Its going light on the front (Only very slight) and darker on the rear, To make the fronts look lighter if you know what i mean.

Andybon

Was pretty easy, onee 13mm nut, a good tug and it came off. All that is needed is a rub down oth the bottom with some sandpaper and jobs a goodun!

I only got up at about half one, and when i did i still felt drunk from last night. Only got in at about 6am,

Ouchh! I guess its all been contained to one panel so that'll keep the cost down... I assume your claiming from her?

25-11-2008, 01:01
just new door so you can offer her to go through her insurance or get her to pay, for a new door and get it sprayed it fitted, but I would be pi55ed off to mate, gutted for you

25-11-2008, 15:39
sorry to heare about that mate, never nice to crash your car whether it be a big or small accident!

atleast, as the others have said the damage appears to be contained to the drivers door so shudnt be much hassle to replace!

Andybon
25-11-2008, 18:17
The damage was the door mainly, with a bit to the sill. Also the hinges where bent too. Got her a quote and now its going through her insurance. Gets picked up tomorrow and i get a courtesy car for a few weeks while its away

Ibiza 130 tdi
25-11-2008, 19:07
At least the work is getting done quickly....

And the damage could've been MUCH worse. I'd be glad it is a removable panel and not the welded rear quarter. Hope it gets sorted soon.

Andybon
25-11-2008, 20:11
This is what the woman from the insurance told me. My car will be collected tomorrow and a courtesy car dropped off (On a like for like basis). Then mine will be taken to a garage (One i have already sorted out), and an engineer will look at it, then an estimate will be made next week, Then as soon as the go ahead is given the work is done and i get my car back (depending on how good the courtesy car is  )

25-11-2008, 20:39
mate i hope you have more success then me..im waiting on them to ok the estimate bill for mine...and still witing....and still waiting....all this time its costing them a hire car..already about £500 for that

Andybon
26-11-2008, 16:53

Get yourself a 130> diesel Ibiza. believe me, you'll love it. My mate is insured on his dad's brand new 58 plate Jaguar X-type sport. Notice the word "Sport." Mine beats it! :D

Pocket rocket ftw!

As of Saturday, I will be stripping it of all the bits I have put on. Only parts that will be left are the wheels, windoew tints and lowering springs. Going to be moving over to bikes now as i've just passed my bike test, and hopefully it will be swapped for a nice shiny bike.

I never thorght this day would come so soon

At the minute, the car is just sat on the drive doing next to nothing all day, probably only does 10-15 miles a week as work is only a mile away, plus the missus drives everywhere now.

The bike will be my playtoy and on the odd day to go to work and back on. May just get a cheap runaround in a few months, something that i wouldnt really care about.

i know the car is gone but i was wondering if you could tell me if those are just chrome handle covers or what???

im sure the car is fine :D

Andybon
06-06-2010, 17:18
They where just the stick on covers. Think at the time it was a small fortune to buy the chrome handles, So i settled for the covers.

Think they where about £14 off ebay. Mine where the proper metal ones aswell, Not the cheaper plastic ones.

I think i still have a couple spare (as they come for a 4 door car) lying around some where.
