Can you get Cruise control fitted to a Mk 4 Beezer?

I fitted it myself to my wifes Mk 3 golf tdi, and it cost £70 in parts + £15 for the dealer to switch the cruise on in the ECU.

Can you get the cruise stalk and do the same?

p.s. am considering HIDs.....The dipped beam seem really weak and low on the Beezer.

you should definitely be able to get cruise control. This this link for a guy who installed it on his 130pd golf:

PS. As to the headlamps 1st make sure they're aimed correctly & try the philips vision+ bulbs, as this upgrade won't break the bank.

The golf and Beezer dont have the same Stalks, as i said i have already fitted cruise to my wifes golf so i know it can be done to them!!

So do you think that the HIDs are not worth the money then??

The vision + dont give much of an improvment on the H7 bulbs are they are already pretty good.

Last time I spoke to APR (as they were called then) they thought that the Ibiza would need more hardware than other cars.

I though the stalks where the same!?
HID's definitely worth the money even if you go the whole 9 yards (headlamps+bulbs and ballast).

If it's any help, I can get a photo of the stalk.

Depends whether the camera can cope with the bright yellow dials behind :D

Don't know what the output will be in the beeza headlamp?? I works awesome in the leon/toledo headlamp, because the reflector and lamp position is deep in the headlamp.
I'll try and see what the ibiza is like. Just hope it's got a glarebox or you defo won't be able to do it.

Nope, that is not what APR told me. More hardware is required, they were going to look into it but I have heard nothing further.

I remeber back then they said it could be done but they couldn't source the parts and Revo won't source the parts.

PRC: whats the situation with cruise on the mk4s in portugal. Any chance of you posting over the necessary parts.

I'm stopping by the dealer on the way home tonight, and I'll ask him. We can try and figure out exactly what's needed. Hopefully this will not be to hard.
Posting is the easy part in the whole deal. No problem from my side what-so-ever.

I can VAG-com the option on in the ECU so its just the switch and wire that should be needed. And a fitting guide.

Good call, as i said i have fitted Cruise to my wifes Golf, it only took about 25mins...

It cost about £70 for parts and £15 for the dealer.

Would be good if it could be done that easy...

Ok, tomorrow my dealer will start getting a list of the parts necessary. He expects it to be a couple more than my cars install, plus as Rage mentioned you'll need to work with the Vag-com thingy to turn it on.
We didn't get it today, cus the dealer is in the process of upgrading the bosch parts/connection program.

Lack of finance in the account at the beginning of the week meant that I won't be getting it until the beginning of next week now. It works out quite well as its in for service on friday and I plan to mod the airbox with a bigger intake pipe.

Will let you know how it goes.
