View Full Version : Regal - Southampton
Anyone used them for a Revo upgrade yet...
Just about to book my Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20VT in for middle of next week. Decided to get rolling road done before and after to see true increase in performance, only an extra £25...
Will post plots once done...
Regal....the V*uxh*ll specialists? Hmmm!

Just remember the software will take a few miles to adjust to your engine (adapt) so before and after RR runs, will not likely show the full potential in such a short time... It will likely get better again with just a few miles running on it.
I work with Autotechnik down in Totton nr Southampton, so a REVO upgrade is also available from them. (no RR though)

Any discounts available through Autotechnik?
I've been quoted the standard £499 + vat from Regal. I noticed that Amber Performance in Luton are offering a discount to members, but its a bit far for me to travel...

I arranged this discount. There is no fixed percentage discount across all products (some have greater margins than others), but they are willing to discount up to 40% on MRP (not the advertised or sticker price). Whether this applies or what level of discount, if any, you get on Revo I don't know. There is still some haggling for you people to do but I've opened the door for you.

REVO prices should be REVO determined.
Regals pricing is spot on what it should be from any & all REVO dealers.
Other non-REVO parts ordered at the same time however are nothing to do with the REVO code, so you may find some more flexibility on a package of bits ;) - Dependant on the reseller.

Regal are a Forge - Revo , dealer and are a very well respected tuner that we have dealt with for a number of years .
You will not go wrong with Regal.
Surely that's Forge-Revo?

The VX220 boys give Regal nothing but praise. That's with V*uxh*lls of course, but it's their customer service and quality of workmanship that is so often talked about, so I'd say you're on a fair bet with Regal.

Regal are also Subaru specialists (so the sign says), must be quite a challenge tuning a 4wd car without a 4wd RR :p

i know a couple of scooby owners that wouldnt trust em but thats a different matter
Regal have not got a 4 wheel drive rolling road, and there are better Subaru specialists now available in the UK ;)

Regal are more than competant to carry out any tuning , the fact that they do not use a rolling road proves nothing , RSD , Quattro sports , do not have rolling roads and they are also well respected companies. On the road mapping is also a good way to map, you do not need to have a piece of paper to wave around to prove that you can tune cars
I definatley agree that you do not have to have a rolling road to tune or map an engine. Most of the high powered Scooby's in the UK are actually mapped on the road in real world driving conditions by the likes of Bob Rawle from BR Developments, with very respectable figures when they are rolling roaded.
As I know Chris the owner at Regal, and I carry out the odd job for them, I would say they were a very competant company at tuning Vauxhalls and other manufactures, but they are not in same league as some of the other Subaru specialists when it comes to tuning and tweaking Subaru's.

you sly fecker didnt tell me u knew him:mad:
now get back to ur scooby forum:jog: :p
I have a mate with a modded vectra (throttle bodies etc) and his car had some work done there through the previous owner of the car, yet he doesn't like them (sorry Regal  ) though his car seems to be ok (Apart from wanting a bit of a re-tune). They also done the exhaust on my Nova SR (which I no longer have!!!!!) and got the job done pretty quick and without fuss. Could think of worse places to take your pride and joy.
I had mine done there today, see the thread here (http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15872)
