my ibiza is lowered and found probs when attempting to change a wheel with the standard jack at the weekend.
tried to raise the car in the normal way but as I attempted this the jack was starting to catch the side skirt so I ended up using a scissor jack to lift it instead.

Basically, how the hell do you raise your motor say if you have a puncture and your car has been lowered using standard car jack?

I suppose you could buy a different jack!

Dunno if you have the same jacking points as a mk2 but surely lowering would make little difference? I can't fathom hy it catches your skirts. Shove the jack in a bit more maybe?

either use a scissor jack to get it an inch up, or drive onto a small block of wood.

took the pull out cover off, level surface and everything, but the thread of the jack was "going" to start to gorge a jinnywopper hole in my skirts-so I stopped!
you don't really have choice with jacking up points on a mk3 as you have to use the designed area's cos of the bloody skirts.

anyways-got it up no probs with something else(ohhh matron)

Ah I C, a mate to 'lean' your car would only half help then:p

I cant get the jack under my cordoba lowered on 17's! i just drive it up on some little home made chocks of wood and then it fits nicely!

on another note, i previously owned a mondeo which had the factory fit RS skirts and also the optional RS suspension and the jack wouldnt even go anywhere near it! And to think they were both factory approved mods! :p

I can barely get the small trolley jack i have under the Leon R side skirts, and it's standard.
