I am looking around for a 2nd car which has to be a diesel, but I have not got much to spend, so I thought that an older shape Toledo TDI would be a good option, does anyone have any experince of owning one? I was after some info about reliability and fuel consumption, plus any other useful input, like weather you know of any for sale....

Ta very much

Never owned one, but I'd stay away from the 1.9TD motor (it's not a TDI). Some of these engines have problems due to a design flaw which provided inadequate oil cooling.

i'm sure a girl at work has one for sale. I'll check tomorrow, but its a silver TDi. Should still be up for sale in the for sale forum

Seen an older style Toledo at my local dealer.... Under £2k.. He only sells `good` old ones! so if your still looking maybe worth checking out..
