traded my 01 audi a3 in for it gotta say the FR is miles better on the acutal feeling of the drive!

prior to the a3 i had a lupo gti and id say the FR is on par with that!:funk:

aye they are 17s its a 6spd box to cant really say cos i dont know the specs of pre-facelift models cos this is my first ibiza, was more of a lupo man untill now ;)

Cant remember the official name of yours, but your is like a pearlescent and his is a metallic.
from the pics id have a stab at luna grey
His is a Bluey/Goldy/Silverish colour when the sun hits it.

I'm not sure of the official colour names, but Clone's is more of a baby blue shade where as yours is closer to a cloudy blue shade.
I like them both anyways. :)

heres one of mines,brisa blue fr.lowered on fk coilovers and color coded door moldings.

mind you i cant talk , the beezer arrived on the tuesday at noon , by 4pm it had a new headunit , tinted plates , the stubby roof aerial on it and the sub half fitted :lol:

Will be interesting to see the car with the new wheels on, something different to what most people do. To change the grille you won't have to take the bumper off. Just remove the two screw clips on the top and give it a tug and a wiggle and it should pop off! Just be careful with your paintwork!

On this topic i've got the Mk2 Leon in brisa blue. Colour is really nice and as has been said here its quite rare. I've only ever seen 1 other Leon in brisa blue and 2 ibizas.
theres a 20vt ibiza in brisa blue that runs about up here only other one ive seen in real life.....

Where did you get your Schmidt Revolution alloys from as i am thinking about getting a set of 18" VN Line (Flat) (3 pc.) alloys but at £2000 just for the alloys i am more then thinking twice about it.

had to fabricate custom from spacers to push the wheels out 2.5mm to clear the brakes as the 16's seemed to foul the carriers! all good tho [B)]
tyres need blackened asap!! lol

I luv the colour of this car, as it was a take on the baby blue you could get years back, but i must confess those wheels have taken the potential 'mean-ness' outta ya car mate. if i look at the side on shots too long the car looks like summat from the 60's or 70's. Sorry!!

tyres are temps anyways that my mate had lying about, the rears are 215 im gonna drop them down to 195's all round see what that brings lol

its going lower tomorrow,
helper springs out the front and a coil off the back, guy off here coming up for my FR alloys so that will fund new tyres...toyo t1r all round for a nicer stretch then its just a case of fabricating some 20mm spacers for the rear [B)]

how did you take the helper coil out of the front? i was just going to take out one of my adjuster rings but if i can do that then i might :)
take the units off and split them down and rebuild and fit as normal, helper spring only stops the main spring from rattling about when the cars airborne (not that it ever will be lol) you should drop at least another 25mm+

obviosly being an extra 25mm+ down some cars may experience rubbing of the tyres on arches if silly low, but removing the helpers wont make you crash or cause the unit to malfunction if thats what you mean lol the units will perform as they did before [B)]

2 piece(schmidts 15inch and under are 3 piece), theyre easy enough to split but building them back up is harder the rim bolts have to be torqued in sequence and all joins silliconed or sealed some way or another, nah the bonnets not gettin trimmed in leather or carbon or painted black or extended or welded anywhere [B)][B)]

3 weeks ago i orderd the same wheels. I doubted what i should order, 16" or 17".
I thought 16 would be just one size to small so i went for 17".
But now i see your 16'ers, i realy think i made the wrong decision :( I'll see.

i think for it to be effective in 16's you neeed a goooooood drop, 17s may well be just as good as you dont need that much of a drop
just off the fone to the guy polishing the bonnet, its an amazingly hard job,
the bonnets being polished down to 50,000 microns (50 thousand!)
to put this into perspective,
the Hubble Telescope's lenses are polished to 75,000 microns! [B)]

This may seem like a weird question but will your polished bonnet be legal? It's just i remember reading about someone who had either polished or chromed their whole car! Police made a fuss saying that the amount of light reflecting off the car was dazzeling other drivers!

there are loads of westfields/lotus 7 replica kit cars with polished alloy body panels so i can't see there being a problem.

No chance. I have the same ones and my cars a LOT lower than 60mm!
Look at Dave's pics, his looks seriouslly slammed too.
Dont forget his current stance is only because the adjuster cups and helper springs are out...my vmaxx are wound all the way down and the rear arch covers the top of my tyre :confused:

120mm iirc.
dont think its that much or else he wouldnt have had to take out helpers and cups....

they were down 120mm as much as the coils would allow, it still sat like a monster truck so i ripped the helper spring on the front out and the adjuster rings on the back(and its still not low enough imo), i measured a standard FR and then mine, im down 127mm from standard :)
i run standard ARB with no fouling
no fouling of driveshafts either
no twisting of ARB bracket
no rubbing of tyres front or back on full lock L + R plus reverse Full Lock L + R
shame on me...i thought it was something like -100mm :redface:
still in the polishing shop dudes, its taking forever lol [:@] [B)]

See that was my concern but i tought he was going to put that protective film over it
would have been interesting to see how it would have looked
i think it would have looked awful if i'm honest, stick with the painted and bra combo!

Woul'd love to see another Ibiza on air.
I also have coilovers in combo with the air kit.

air ICW coilovers seems to be the easier option and its gonna save me a few quid too :lol:

That's right. Now you're gonna place an airbag instead of an spring.
My witches are mounted in the place where the ashtrey used to be. Took me a few houres to bild it but im happy now the way the're mounted.

Easily make one of out fibreglass mate. Then cover it with fabric. Job's a good un. ;)
Whats the point in putting your boost gauge back in? Your car boosts more than the gauge reads! You'll bend the needle on the stop at 30psi. ;)
