Last December I went APR. I was given the 220 BHP program, strictly on SUL. I used to change between std and APR, but during the last two months I was running only APR. I was noticing some rough engine running below 2K, sometimes, cold or hot.
A week ago I changed spark plugs with the help of a guy who worked at VW service for the last 17 years. We both saw the old spark plugs and didn't like their colour. He explained to me that they indicated poor mixture and that's why I had rough running below 2K. Poor mixture can cause really big problems, rough running beeing a joke before them !!! :(
I switched back to normal and wait for the reply from my SEAT dealer as SEAT Greece did the conversion then but now they do REVO and I wonder what will become of my Leon .... :(

So, all those with APR, take a look at your spark plugs.

Well I am running 98RON for the past 3 months on my leon (I've got the full package) but did not notice any problems while driving (really fast usually).Did you check the ECU with a vag-com?Check also the spark plugs, one of mine was blown 1 month ago.Last but not least you must be certain for the fuel quality,I was running Shell v-power racing 99+ and for the last few days BP super unleaded. No problems at all (from specific gas stations).

Sorry I meant coil packs not spark plugs.

I also suggest you get a decent Air/Fuel meter (Autometer for example) as well and get it installed. Did you get any DTC errors with VAG-COM?

Cheers

Hi guys, another Greek in town ... (Sotiris)

I just had my Leon 20VT tuned by Revo on my local Seat Dealer and the car now is a total blast, very happy indeed.

I do not think that because they do tuning with Revo now, they should discriminate their older customers and not paying attention to their problems. Besides, I believe you must have some warranty about their services, aren't I right?

I am also going to install a boostmeter and an Ait/Fuel ratio mater, just to keep an eye on the mixture and barpressure, I reccon you do the same if not done so already.

Well, it propably wasn't a APR problem !!!! I took the old spark plugs to the SEAT service I use and they sent them to SEAT central just to be tol that they were wrong type !!! They were NGK PZFR5D-II while the correct type is PFR6Q !!! YES, they were replaced at the 15k Km service at another dealer which I used only once and now is not a SEAT service anymore !!!
I've switched to APR again and it is so sweet and fast !!! Hope I won't be writting anything else about it...
