View Full Version : Are we all going to prison?

Thread on the 'audi-sport.net' site:

A graduate in America has been sued for libel by a local VW dealership after detailing his unpleasant experiences with the company's service department on a BBS at VW enthusiast web site 'VWvortex'.

VW (America) and Audi (America) did not support the dealer in his law suit, which was evenyually dropped.

If this happens here, most unlikely, the witnessess for the defence would run into the hundreds, ensuring the trial ran for years, public enquiry, government ministers resigning, eventual collapse of the government and monarchy, brake down of law and order, resulting in total anarchy reigning throughout this green and pleasant land that we all cherish so much - worse case scenario.

Serious point: If our comments towards the dealerships are constructive and a true account of our experiences then it's up to the dealerships and Seat UK to address the problem, obviously only if their interest extends beyound '£££££££££££££', which, for most, I very much doubt.

It looks as if the 'Audi Boys' have as much trouble finding good dealerships as we do.

We now have over 600 members. I asked Flapper to invite Seat UK to have a Q&A forum in this site - surprise, surprise, NO RESPONSE - how about a PETITION!. If they value our custom, and the questions are vetted prior to posting, where's the problem?.

Are Seat UK fully aware of the facts and are just 'running scared'?

Flapper, if we all go to prison please visit and bring fags, I don't think the wife will bother.

:D I feel much better now for getting this off my chest, I'm not paranoid, I KNOW they are out to get me :D

I assume you have filled in your Dealership questionaire sent to you by SEAT UK earlier this year?

There was a tick-box to request a follow-up to your comments.

Mine was for my current service, which I couldn't be happier with - but I did take the opportunity to slate my previous dealership, who were about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

I haven't had a response yet :(

Mind you, SEAT customer care were superb when I was having my 'issues' with Arnold Clark, paying for my Toledo TDI (really nice car actually) hire car while my brand new Leon was off the road and also chucking in a six CD changer for compensation.

I found them to be really helpful. Maybe I was just lucky :)

I got a questionaire when I bought my Arosa S...

My windscreen came scratched, so they replaced it. They also chucked in a single slot CD for £70... not bad considering they wanted £280 off full price. :)

Cheers I.M.G SEAT
