Just got back from Fontains after upgrading my SPS 1 to SPS 3 what a difference !!!! The power band and maximum torque is massive just from changing the timing to 7 as I use Optimax all the time. The car now pulls EXCEPTIONALLY strong from 3000 - 5500 rpm in every single gear and you can really feel it. Was it worth the extra £100 + VAT ? IMHO YES. Me now a happy bunny again

I use timimg on 7 as well as I always use optimax too.
I've left it on high boost 8 pretty much since I got it. Some might say that's pushing it a bit, but i've not had any problems yet (touch wood) and it flies!
Only problem is my sub 20mpg fuel consumption:mad:
But that's the price you pay i suppose...

Nice one!!! I'm looking forward to my trip up to Revo on Tuesday to switch mine over from the old APR code. I was debating whether the SPS3 was worth the extra dosh but from what you are saying it gives exactly what mine needs which is more at the top end. Midrange at the moment is fine but feels breathless at the top...

SPS3 here I come :D

So what's the major difference guys ? I'm on lowly SPS1, but have problems getting optimax all the time - would it be worth it ?

I also, do a f**k of a lot of driving for work, round London & on the M25 etc, so there's normal everyday motoring chucked in there too.

I am enjoying the Revo soooooo much as it is.....:D

Joel,

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it as I am also. It is nice to leave more exotic car drivers like so

When we both got demo'd I got Mitch to run the optimax program as I always use it and when I went to SPS 1 without the Optimax program it was a big difference. The car is more torquey all the way from 3500 pretty much to the redline although the maximum torque is def from 3500 - 5500 where it is pretty much as beast.

Next SEAT meeting, make sure you get some Optimax and I will turn your boost up for your and your ignition timing

Hello guys,

I recently installed the Revo SPS1 program on my Leon 20VT and I am a very happy man. The can now feels with so much more torgue!

Will the SPS3 upgrade make a lot of difference, what about reliability?

I am not a mechanic so I won't mess with the ECU itself so much, does it worth the extra cash?
