Absolutly the worst service ever, donto even stop to ask them for the time as they will undoubtably give you the wrong one, then say sorry but thats what we were given!!!.
Bunch of feckers.
Sales staff are totally indifferent asif they cant be bothered and the service parts / after sales is just a joke.
Will be writing a letter to Seat and Arnold Clark highlighting the lack of customer care.
Will try Bickets in Killy see if they are any better.
  :repuke:
After being badly treated by my local dealer, I went to Bickets for my first service and was very happy with the way it was carried out. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff, car returned on time and cleaned, reasonable bill. Bit of a trek from Lanarkshire but I'll go back, as will the other Seat in my household.
I didn't even consider AC due to bad experience with previous services on other makes.
I can confirm that AC in Sighthill (Edinburgh) are no better  Service receptionist was a sour faced c0w when I went, and they could find nothing wrong with my car.....thankfully Livingstones in Uddingston did, and fixed it. I know ScottR above has had probs with Livingstones too though.........
Another user on here (who shall remain nameless unless they want to name themselves :) ) recounted a time their car was at AC in Sighthill. Wasn't me, so for legal reasons we'll say that this was a made up scenario that didn't actually occur.....
After service.....
Anon: "You did change the air filter at this service?"
AC: "Of course we did".
Anon: "So why does it still have "please change me" written accross it in black marker?"
AC: "oh"

Bickets have been great with me, even with being the only R they've had in and a few teething problems with the key coding, very friendly and explain what they can if you ask.
The sales side is okay too, although i did do all the chasing for the R at pre launch stage and kept them informed of the updates thanks to this site ;)

Its looking like Bickets will be the one. Ian last night said that they are getting another R in for someone..Red i think. So you will have a friend Leo...
There guy is trading a 130 sport (more fool him) ;o)
Bickets have quoted mr £19.30 for the maint. plan how good is that!!

the maintenance plan can be used at any dealer, so even if you buy it there and decide to get it done elsewhere it means win win for you.
Ian has sold 3 now (1 black and 2 reds) and has a demo R (red) for sale, unfortunately it is in standard trim (not so bad you think) but asking price is £17995
So maybe i'd get £16000 for mine :D

That is just ingenious :D
This is perhaps the worst garage I have ever come across and today's miserable experience reinforced my views. I will never use Clydebank Seat again for servicing.
About 3 months ago while changing my boot lock under warranty they wrecked the interior boot trim. Worse still they didn't admit to it even though I spoke to the mechanic asking what exactly the problem was it was only when I was lifting the shopping out later that day I noticed it.
Anyway got on the phone demanding it was repaired and they agreed and ordered a part in. 2 weeks later - no part - so I phone. "it's not come in yet, we'll phone you when it does". 3 months have passed and today I was in to get a leaking water bottle fixed on my MY03 Cupra. I said where is this part I want you to fix the car you damaged. Service receptionist -"It's still not in". I said right I want the part number. I'm going to Seat UK to make a complaint about this, I don't accept that it takes 3 months to get a part like this in".
She pointed down to the parts department where I discovered that it came in the very next day but needless to say the idiots ordered the wrong part so they have re-ordered it! I went up to Service and as usual they were all blaming each other.
To make matters worse they didn't have the parts into fix my washer bottle. They then said we'll get the parts in and bye the way we don't do warranty work on a Saturday so I will need to come into get it fixed during the week which means more time off work and as they won't give me a courtesy car it means a rather pricey taxi fare back up to get it!!
And this is just today's experience never mind the run ins I've had in the past with them.
I THINK THIS LOT ARE ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS and will be using Bicketts going forward for service and warranty work.
Sorry more the moan.

Sorry to here that, i will never go near Ac Clydbank again, not even to buy a very cheap car.
All in all i think Livingstones in Uddinstone is the best.

have you used Bickets and Livingstones? if so do you rate Livingstones higher?

i have not used either for any work (car still too new) but have used both for test drives general info.
Leo seems to think Bickets are pretty good, he has had good dealings with the service manager and i think he is happy with the work that was carried out on his car.
A work mate has an Ibiza and he uses Livi's and recons they are great.
Both are small independants so you can guarentee 1 thing you will get a million times better service from them than AC.
i am favouring Livi's right now, but will see when i ask them about fitting cruise to the car how they get on, casue i know Bickets cant handle it. Must be to technical for them to take the wheel off and push together a couple of plugs!! Changing the oil and plugging into the VAG com is the most you can expect these days from a dealer..
I used Livingstone's (as did a few friends and family) for a couple of years quite happily.
Unhappy experiences after I changed to a new Cupra put me (and others) off. It looks like it will end up in court.
I've now been to Bickets twice (and another family member has once) for services and they have been extremely helpful and friendly. Not perfect, but very apologetic when something went wrong, and went out of their way to sort it out quickly.
Livingstone's were just as good initially, but you're only as good as your last piece of appalling customer service, and I couldn't recommend them because of that. Others who have not had the same problems may well feel they are very good, and they are probably right based on their own experience.
I think I'll go with Bicjets. Cheers for the replies guys.
