Just bought myself a brand spanking new ibiza fr tdi. just wondered how long i should leave it before getting a remap? cheers
2000 - 5000 miles, get it run in first, I waited til 15000 though... :)

My Octavia VRs had 53 miles on the clock but thats just me showing off!
The main thing is to make sure that the car does not have any faults which may make you want to return for exchange.
This s very rare so we'll be seeing you in a couple of months!

just wondered what difference i would notice to MPG. i dont spank it everywhere lol... like to sit at 70 on cruise control on motorways, but enjoy an occasional blast :-) of course!
On motorways never got over 59mpg according to the computer... tho its only just got over 1000miles on the clock.
over 59 mpg from a sports diesel - use the cash your saving for the remap once its loosened up ;)

i'm seriously hoping the MPG is going to get better once its loosened up! 360miles and light comes on! fingers crossed!
dont forget its not exactly a BIG tank (45 litre?) and the light comes on early on seat's for some reason
dont wanna drag off topic but just reccomend never EVER use a 16v if your not happy with those figures my light comes on BEFORE i hit 160 miles

160! lol... i got rid of my MINI Cooper WORKS because of the poor MPG! tho at the moment i'm only getting 60miles more! doesnt seem so bad now!
ANYWAY!.... I'll give the FR a couple more thousand miles before a remap. oh does anyone have a before and after RR graph? would be interesting to see.
You should see anything up to 450 miles from a tank once loosened up... mine got 453 last week, its mapped and I wasn't driving slow or fast :)
