Can't get the CD autochanger Magazine out

Hi

I've just bought myself a V5 Toledo. Lovely car.

It has all the original stereo with a standard CD multi-changer thingy in the glovebox, but I can't get the magazine out. I have tried the button on the auto changer unit itself with no joy. There is no whirring or scrunching or any indication of anything happening and going wrong. So I kind of wonder if the power isn't getting to the unit

When I press the CD button on the stereo's main panel "magazine" flashes up and vanishes quicker than you can blink.

Any clues?

Have you tried pulling the CD changer out and checking it's plugged in at the back? I think the surround cover pops off at the front revealing some torq screws holding the unit in. May be worth checking in case it's worked loose or been refitted incorrectly.
