Well what can I say.
Had the car upsoluted by Simon of CCCtech
One word to describe the car - AWESOME
One word to describe the service - A1
Simon couldnt have been better he came to my work took out the ecu then went to my mates to fit the new chip due to me working in a bank and the security issues. Came back in my luch hour refitted the ecu and away she went. First turn of the key no fiddling no lights coming on.
A few miles to warm up then foot down and away we go, what a difference loads more pull and a real kick not just the gentle pull of the standard car.
Sixth gear 80mph foot down and it pushes me back in my seat.
I looked at the Revo option and Jabbasport but I couldnt justify the cost and the extra chew on with travelling to get it done.
215bhp and 75kg less than a cupra R only driving 16" wheels gotta be under 7 seconds to sixty?
Later Simon:)

Excellent. Now that I've been tuned I feel like I should have done it from day 1 instead of waiting for the 1 year warranty period to have expired.

So what did it all cost you in the end?, just my pennies are a bit short at the moment but sure i could find a few extras if needed.

Hello
cost me £305 that was everything simon coming to me picking up the ecu sorting it then fitting it back and I got my old chip just in case I want to change it back. Which I dont.
definately worth the money!!!!!

Out of interest, how do you change the chip back if you need to ?

You need to take of the drivers side wiper blade, then just get under the plastic guard below the windscreen, unclip a couple of connectors and slide the ECU out. Then you carefully open up the ECU case and swap the original chip, which you should be left with, back into the neat little EPROM holder which has been soldered onto the ECU board.

Probably take about 30 minutes all told if you're careful.

 Upsoluted on Thursday ! Very pleased :D
